"We knew that Wendover Art Group would be the perfect fit for our Desert Chalet Project because we were looking for large-scale pieces of a contemporary style that would ship quickly for our installation. The pieces we chose made each space feel special and finished off the look -- allowing buyers to imagine themselves living in this home. We love how it all came together." - Kaitlyn Wolfe, Founder and Principal Designer of Iconic by Kaitlyn Wolfe.
The Desert Chalet Project required the quick shipment and installation of several large-scale contemporary art pieces. Chosen by Kaitlyn, each piece made the space feel special and finished off the look, allowing buyers to imagine themselves living in this home. The result was a perfect fit for the project and a successful collaboration between Wendover Art Group and Iconic by Kaitlyn Wolfe.
About the Desert Chalet
The Desert Chalet Project was a spec build designed for a developer, Arcadia Fortress. The inspiration behind the design was the matte black A-Frame roof line, which evoked a cabin-like feel, hence the name ‘chalet’. To complement this, the designers selected light natural wood finishes for the floors, walls, and ceilings, as well as many soft, textural, and organic finishes. They also added a unique spin to the design, with a nod to Art Deco and mid-century vibes, incorporating geometric shapes and lighting, such as the screen-printed tile from Portugal at the bar. The home features a ceiling-suspended vapor fireplace in the primary bedroom, ceramic lighting, custom millwork, asymmetry, and a play on contrast. The great room showcases a black and white agglomerate marble along the base of the fireplace. Kaitlyn staged the home with many curated vintage pieces from her travels, including the classic De Sede ‘Snake’ sectional in the great room. The designers are excited to see who will purchase this stunning home.
