The #WeMatter campaign is an ongoing collective advocacy campaign created to target specific individuals, companies or organisations that attack the African/Caribbean population in order to collectively and effectively hold them to account.
It's not the fact that we are a numerical minority in Britain that makes us vulnerable, it's the fact that we aren't institutionally organised that keeps us vulnerable. Every other ethnicity has institutions to represent their specific ethnicity to advocate for and on their behalf.
Without a recognisable national advocacy institution, it is impossible for the British African/Caribbean population to focus and identify a vehicle that represents our collective national voice and interests. This hinders us because when we are collectively attacked we respond from silos.
The #WeMatter campaign gives an achievable call to action that asks for a nominal participation from contributors but will make a maximum impact based on the aggregated efforts of a large cross section of our community influencer's.
We issue instruction with text to copy and paste within your social media and a scripted guide to record a selfie video, follow the schedule to upload your video day and date to coordinate with the collective campaign following the 1,2,3,4 instruction.
