Wellness
October is observed and celebrated according to a variety of health and wellness focused causes with their purpose of generating awareness. Some observances are focused on life, others on work, and many on the integration of the two.
Beyond Work
This month, my company (Yext) has encouraged me and the rest of my colleagues to share our wellness journeys on social media using the hashtag #YextWellness. Go ahead, search for #YextWellness across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn and you'll see how wellness is on display this month. I am so thankful to be a part of an organization that celebrates the balance of physical, emotional, and social health that reaches far beyond the business of software and services.
On-Purpose
This snapshot into the wellness of the Yext community is particularly exciting for me because I believe so deeply in living a life that matters - one that leaves a legacy of service, love, generosity, and ultimately - PURPOSE. My personal belief is that everyone benefits from being intentional with their actions, words, and thoughts - in short purpose is contagious. The side affects of purpose can be felt in something as simple as a person holding the door for you or going out of their way to help you out in another way. No matter what it is, you can feel it and it lifts your spirits.
My Journey
With purpose in mind, combined with the opportunity to share my October #YextWellness journey on social media, I decided to embark on a 30 day Journey with author and speaker, John Maxwell. The 30 Day Journey for intentional living guides me through a short video each day with an opportunity to reflect and share.
Think - Do - Tell
Today's video emphasized being intentional about doing the things you love and putting into practice those very things in tangible ways. The idea is to consider starting small, take action, tell others, and actively find new ways to add intentionality to your every day.
If you're interested in taking the same route I am and trying out the 30 Day Intentional Living Journey for yourself, sign up here (it's $43 with tax, which includes the book and immediate access to the journey). If you want a free option, I encourage you to write out 30 tasks/values that you would like to create more of in your life, consider a different one each day, and take action on a small step toward that value each day.
For example if you want to improve your physical health, one component may be drinking more water. You can then add additional components under physical health, emotional health, social health, etc. to get to your 30 tasks/values.
I would be honored for you to comment and hear how you're taking small steps of intentionality to make a difference in your life and the life of others!

9 年A life of intention. Sounds like Wayne Dyer. Every morning that I awake, I thank God for a new day. It's a great start in making every day positive.
