Wellbeing post #2 (aka tips to help figure stuff out)
When something isn’t right in our lives or we’re struggling to make a change, it can often be because we are living out of alignment with our personal values. Values are the deep-rooted principles that guide our actions, decisions, and interactions with the world.?
Seems obvious, right? BUT: perhaps surprisingly, many of us are unaware of what ours are or don’t pay attention to them, making it hard to pinpoint what is wrong in our lives or to figure out what change to make.???
There are a number of tools and techniques to identify our unique personal values, try googling “personal values assessment”. Typically a person will have 3-5 values that are core to them. Examples include trust, family, honesty, fairness, integrity, reputation, wealth, contribution, creativity…..? the list goes on.?
Once we are clear on our values, we need to evaluate our actions and goals against them. Are they in alignment? If not, what needs to change? Living in alignment with our values is a major contributor to wellbeing, motivation & goal success.
Are you clear on what your values are, and are they aligned with your life??
This is another bite-sized post on tools & techniques designed to help wellbeing. If you could do with a hand I am available for coaching from January 2024 & would love to help.??
