Well THAT Struck a Nerve- Body Language Analysis

People don’t want to lie.? It takes a lot of energy. Sometimes they get backed into a corner, so what do they do?? Keep reading to find out.

Let’s revisit the Casey Anthony case.? ??How exactly did her daughter disappear in 2008?? Did she kill her daughter? ?She didn’t report her daughter missing for 30 days.? She had a lot of inconsistencies in her story and a seemingly nonchalant attitude about the whole investigation, including doing handstands in the police interview room while she was waiting.? ?She’s been acquitted.? Let’s take a look at her lawyer’s interview after the fact:

This one is just laughable.? Or course she avoids the question, but there’s so much more.

Here’s what I see.

Notice her long blink before she answers the question.? That’s because she’s trying to block it out.

She doesn’t want to lie.? So she comes up with excuses not to directly answer.?

Her lips purse-she thinking and the stress builds

She pauses for almost 5 seconds (that’s the time frame where you know deception is present) and stutters, not able to land on something to say as her mind races.

Her blink rate goes up, eyelashes fluttering

Then notice how she turtles, her head going down and neck gets lots shorter.? That’s a sure sign of deception, trying to hide.

Then she shows classic disappointment as she says she was comfortable with Casey

When she’s pressed again she can’t even fake a smile referring back to how her kids are grown.

Avoidance is her only tactic.? And she’s not fooling anyone. Pants on Fire.
