Well informed or misled?

The internet is an unregulated place where anyone can say or post anything. In the world of travel, experience is the bottom line. When you go to search a hotel or destination there is no telling how current the information is or if it is legitimate at all.

Here are two photos. One posted from an online site that makes this Mexico resort look like a great choice. The other photo is one taken by a traveler that showed what they got is not always what your get. And who will you call to fix this?

As a travel professional it is my role to parse through the data to determine fact from fiction. To listen to your travel preferences and understand your dreams. To bring reality to the difficult job or coordinating suppliers or air, land, ship and tour suppliers to create the most memorable experiences for the right reasons.

Let me give you an example of the wrong reasons. Travelers bought a cheap, online cruise to Antarctica on a small ship. Then the storm hit, the ship lost power and lost all communications for 4 days in a turbulent sea. Their lives where on the line. For four days! They were saved by a passing international ship who shot them a satellite phone to get rescued. Yep, that is a memory, but not one most would wish for when on holiday. What are your willing to risk to get the cheap deal instead of the best one for you and your family?

Self-service can be quick for commodities purchasing, but once in a lifetime projects need a professional touch. You don't share your receipts, you share your experiences. Get the vacation you want and deserve.
