A Well Balanced Life

How do you balance your life?
This is one of the commonest questions that I get from the academics as well as from my students because I play multiple roles as a lecturer, researcher, writer, speaker, education consultant and STEM activist.
?To answer that particular question, I wanted to ask two special questions.
*Are you career oriented or are you family oriented?
*If not, are you balancing both of them? In my case, I can say that I am trying my best to balance both of them.
Work –life balance play a crucial role in living a balanced life. It specifically allows individuals to lead a satisfied life with an enhanced condition as they can fit in their personal and professional responsibilities. According to my experience, a well balanced approach of work and life has increased my individual productivity as well as job satisfaction. Honestly, we should have time to do the things that we enjoy in doing rather than being a human robot without senses. Apart from that, there should be some activities in your life to recharge your bio-battery inside with regular intervals. The renewed energy then can enhance your creativity as well as your focus.
The answer to the above two questions can vary from person to person. So, this month I will share my ideas about the importance of a well balanced life.
With this busy world, we can see that many people try to juggle multiple responsibilities. It can be from work, family, self-care and personal growth.
Achieving a healthy equilibrium across various aspects of life is viewed as a challenge nowadays. Here what I meant as equilibrium is the mental health as well as physical health balance. To face the challenges in life, proper navigation is important for mental health while dealing with the associated stress, anxiety and overwhelming feelings. Physical imbalance can occur if we struggle to find time for exercise, self-care and healthy eating habits.
So, what do you mean by a balanced life?
Simply, it is when all of the areas of your life are in peace and harmony with each other.
Hence, your spent energy is distributed equally without biasing into either family or career. Some very successful people that I know personally have allowed their work to consume as they are really busy with work 24 x 7. As a result, there is less quality time for the loved ones. We can say that a well balanced life indicates a higher quality of life in the real world.

Personally, I do not take life very seriously. I want to live life in a simple, rewarding way with fun highlighting gamification techniques with behavioral science. Life is all about awareness, growth and self-discovery when you mature day by day.
What to do to achieve a balanced life?
You need to have the self discipline and time management to break free from old habits while substituting positive approaches of personal development to create a balanced life.
