Welcoming Jim to the Board

Welcoming Jim to the Board

This week, I shared the good news with our team that Jim Borel, one of the world’s most respected and influential agriculture executives, has joined our Board. Until his retirement in 2016, Jim was #2 at DuPont with oversight of DuPont Pioneer, Crop Protection and Nutrition & Health businesses, representing $15B+ in sales and over 60% the company's $2B annual R&D investment. He also oversaw DuPont’s Sustainability; Safety, Health & Environment; Product Stewardship & Regulatory; and Government Affairs corporate functions as well as the Latin America Region.

Jim joined DuPont in 1978 as a sales rep and over his four-decade career, held a variety of progressively responsible roles in product, sales and business management, ultimately becoming Executive Vice President. He also served in human resources and manufacturing positions in Agricultural Products and corporately in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Japan.

Jim enjoys working with entrepreneurs and is passionate about both agriculture and food. He serves on the Boards of Farmer's Edge, Neogen Corporation, National 4-H Council, the Farm Foundation and is on the Board of Trustees of the University of Delaware.

As a member of our Board, Jim will help us fulfill our 5-point plan for building a food system where everyone eats well.

Sounds like a good person to have on board!
