Report states early years settings ‘essential’ to driving earlier SEND intervention and support

The early years sector is “well placed to act as the foundation of an inclusive education system”, according to an independent report by ISOS Partnership. The report, 'Towards an Effective and Financially Sustainable Approach to SEND in England', was commissioned by The County Councils Network and Local Government Association to identify the issues facing the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system and propose a series of recommendations to reform it.

Ofsted has released statistics revealing that the number of registered early years providers fell by 2% between March 2023 & March 2024.The data was released as part of a report providing official statistics for early years providers & inspections.
