*Taps mic* Is this thing on? Hi! I'm Tiara, some may know me as "Shea", Berry and I am so excited to be taking the leap into creating my first article for my newsletter What's Coffee? Real Professionals, Realer Conversations.

This newsletter (and eventual podcast) is dedicated to being the safe space for authentic conversation and dialogue about the unique experience of underrepresented groups in corporate America and entrepreneurship.

Inspired by Illianna Acosta -- a rockstar at LinkedIn and guiding light that I am fortunate enough to know -- I have found that it is a necessity to have platforms that uplift, encourage, educate and connect the multitude of human experiences as we create more equitable spaces for all to thrive.

So here we are! Let's start with defining the title, What's Coffee?

"What's Coffee?" is a play on the popular phrase "What's Tea", defined as asking someone to spill the latest news, stories, etc.

Coffee is often associated with day-to-day work life. Honoring the avid caffeine lovers out there, who may or may not drink more than one cup of coffee a day to get through their 9-5, What's Coffee? is the question I will pose in my newsletter as we touch on important topics and feature special guests who are navigating as diverse leaders and figures in their community. See what I did there? :)
