Welcome to the UX Vocab Club Newsletter :)
Hi UX Designers?(and everyone else!)?
Never feel lost for words again because we've got your UX topic covered.
Or we'll have it covered soon because we're building our network of excellent UX professionals!
Welcome to the UX Vocab Club Newsletter :)?
Thank you?for joining our community and sharing your beautiful experiences with me in direct messages.
It's been a great year, and the club has grown?to 787 members!
In February, I will be hosting guests to discuss their take on being?UX professionals!?
The three discussions will be recorded and posted with closed captioning as videos for you to?play and share?with other UX professionals.?
I hope we can?grow our knowledge?together and learn from each other.?
Allow me to introduce our three guests for February 2022!
Let's meet the incredible guests who were not only keen to participate but continue to encourage me to keep pursuing my dreams!?
We will be discussing methods they use to conduct research, foresight into the upcoming world of UX, and all about building community.
This month I am pleased to introduce our three guests:
Carry on to learn a little about each of their UX journeys.
About Jafar Salemi (they, them, their)
While living as a refugee, Jafar found a?drive and passion for helping people?in similar circumstances. After researching to understand the community's needs, Jafar developed an information centre where the community could find information crucial to its needs.
Their motivation for pursuing UX design stems from?understanding human needs and translating them into a digital platform?that serves those needs.
Jafar is passionate about synthesizing data and creating information architecture to?place content intuitively in the interface. They've recently launched a family business called Maggie Design Studios.?
Jafar and I have discussed these three topics.?
Have you discussed these topics before?

About Vaibhavi Patankar (she, her, hers)
A?lover of communication, visual or physical, Vaibhavi loves designing because she can communicate ideas and make products more accessible for the end-user.
Her motivation for UX design stems from?a desire to enhance an overall user experience, not just visual but also physical.
Vaibhavi started her journey with product design. With roots in industrial design, she's?grounded in physical products, including touch, sound, intuitiveness and ease of use.??
Vaibhavi has introduced me to the following three topics.
Which topic resonates with you the most??

About Ryan Wichtendahl (he, him, his)
After struggling to find his voice in the design world as an architect, Ryan realized that?UX might be more enjoyable because it fits his thinking style. It's highly evidence-based and empathetic and allows being imaginative.
His motivation was to?make evidence-based design decisions. And ultimately to help people.?
Ryan agrees that?communication barriers can affect people's confidence?in design. He suggested developing something that helps existing interpreters understand UX.?
Ryan and I have been discussing these three topics:
Which topic most interests you??

Thank you for subscribing to the UX Vocab Newsletter!?
As a subscriber to the UX Vocab Newsletter, you can look forward to receiving news of what's happening for the upcoming month! We publish it on the first day of every month.?
Would you like to join us for a discussion in March?
If you would like to join Hilary for a discussion in March and have the newsletter feature your UX story, please choose an option to contact her below.
Also, starting this year are Group Events!!
Do you find your thoughts scattered somewhere in a cloud above your head?
Do you want to find a fast way to get them down on paper so you can share them as ideas with your colleagues, teammates or stakeholders?
There's a visual method you might want to try, and it's called the Bubble Method.
I would love to show you how I apply it every day because it's a beautifully effective visual communication tool.?
And this year, I'm trying something new. Once a month for eleven months, I will host a group session to demonstrate its effectiveness and share its power with you!
There will be?11 group sessions, one hour per session, each one divided into four periods.?
What to expect at each session?
Every session, I will take you through the stages and different applications of The Bubble Method to?improve your communication skills?and advance your career as a UX Designer.
You can purchase a one-time ticket if you would enjoy testing the method on a particular topic or all eleven sessions, so you become, what I like to call, a bubble machine!?
How will a group session work?
It's?first-booked-first-served?:) There are about?90 tickets available?per session as I have only 100 seats in Zoom, and I need a few for my helpful robots and guest speakers.?
Tickets are $12 CDN per group session. Including processing fees :)
Even if only one of you will attend, I will be there for you because?you're worth it!?
I will also record the event and share it with the lucky participants. There will be?live closed captions and a transcript for your convenience during the event.
Where can I find more details and purchase my event ticket?
The first UX Vocab Group Event will be on Tuesday, February 22nd!
Please visit?the EVENTBRITE LINK for more details and purchase your ticket online.
