AWD Programme – Early CPD opportunities: INVITATION TO REGISTER

As part of its strategy for apprenticeship quality improvement, the Department for Education (DfE) is funding the Apprenticeship Workforce Development (AWD) programme, which is being delivered by the Eduction and Training Foundation (ETF) in partnership with the Association of Colleges (AoC), Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP), Strategic Development Network (SDN) and UVAC. The AWD programme is now in its second phase, having initially launched in 2021. The programme supports staff at all levels and roles delivering apprenticeships, including employers involved in apprenticeship delivery. New continuous professional development (CPD) is being developed for phase two of the AWD programme, following a process of training needs analysis (TNA), which has involved a sector-wide survey, focus groups, sector research, and the expertise of all delivery partners. Feedback from the HE sector during the TNA process has been highly positive. While new CPD resources are being developed, based on insights from the TNA, existing CPD resources from phase one remain accessible, comprising eight FutureLearn courses and the Working Effectively with Employers resource published in December. Live-online and face-to-face versions of these FutureLearn courses are now available for booking through the ETF Booking system.?
