Welcome to the first edition of Ureka’s monthly newsletter. Here, you will find out about all the latest news from Ureka, our customers, and our partners. We will cover company and staff updates, new product launches, our plans for the future, and industry insights.

Looking back!

With many team members on a well-deserved break, the office has been quieter, and staff have stepped in to cover the roles of those team members joining our timber processing customers in their semi-official August shutdown holiday. Many heading to a sun-soaked corner of the Mediterranean to get some much-needed rest and vitamin D.

In June we conducted a six-monthly review of our strategic objectives for the year and started July with renewed vigour to achieve our goals. To support us in our mission we upgraded our current CRM system to a new tier that has enabled us to access real-time sales and marketing performance data, helping us drive success across the business.

The timber processing industry slowed for the month of August again this year. Seeing British industry leaning into the European trend of shutting down for two weeks in August. No doubt we will see a more active month in September where our customers will be getting ready to hit the ground running with fresh inspiration from their holidays.

The grass market has seen robust growth both online and offline. With the launch of the Turfstikk PU500 in spring last year, we have had a healthy month. Mainly ascribed to the school holidays where sports and play contractors are taking advantage of the quieter campuses to get the education projects ticked off for the year.

Speaking of education, this transitions nicely into our recent initiative of supporting the UK’s schools, colleges, and academies’ woodworking classes with glues from our Cascamite range of adhesives. Cascamite has been on the shelves of woodworking classrooms nationally and indeed, internationally for decades, so we are glad we can continue to support the next generation of woodworkers. We are running this initiative indefinitely, so if you know a friend of a friend who is a teacher, send them our way, and we can assist.

We have some new products being launched and are exhibiting at a handful of trade days with one of our key customers and we will likely be seeing some new faces on the team. ?
