Hey Unibaio fam! Our roots are growing! ???

Remember when we teased that 2023 would be a game-changer in our 2022 recap? Well, spoiler alert: it totally was! ?? Ready to dive into our highlights? ??

We revamped our tech, shifting from encapsulation to a co-formulant approach, making our delivery system even stronger. Starting year two of field validation, we got exciting results in synthetic herbicides, fungicides and biologicals, with up to an 80% reduction in molecules without sacrificing the biological response. ?? New patent filed, mechanism of action expanded (it's a game-changer!), and studies on physical and chemical interactions underway.

We touched down in the US market, launching new pilots with agrochemical giants, including the world's largest fertilizer and biggest US biological company. We have ongoing talks with 7 of the top 10 global players, major thanks to our stellar advisory board: Philip Rollinson and Carlos Becco , heavyweights from the industry, guiding our commercial hustle.

Team Unibaio leveled up! ?? Advisors and workforce grew, forming a dynamic crew in Ag, Life Sciences, Chem, Math Modeling, Materials Sciences, Biotech, and Business. ?? But wait, there's more! A year with SF500 on our board brought strategic value, and we're stoked to join IndieBio NY , Batch 7 — the biotech accelerator of dreams! ??

We also receive several recognitions for our commitment to sustainable agriculture and innovation, among which we highlight the "Smarter Climate Farmers Challenge Award" from the World Economic Forum.

Q4 HIGHLIGHTS:

• Field Testing:?We started our 2nd year of field trials, after the promising results of the previous campaign. We are validating the synergy of our micro-particles with synthetic and biological molecules with focus in herbicides and fungicides. Reports will be available soon!.
• IndieBio : We became part of the esteemed IndieBio NY program, securing invaluable resources and support as we strive to bring our technology to market in the United States.
• We initiated new pilot programs with significant companies, including the biggest fertilizer company in the world and the biggest biological company in the US.
• UpLink : World Economic Forum and Ministry of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia awarded us as winners of the "Smarter Climate Farmers Challenge ".?Unibaio was selected as for its commitment to developing solutions for sustainable food production using climate-smart agriculture approaches, helping improve lives globally.
• We showcased our technology at the ABIM - Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting held in Basel, Switzerland, providing us with the opportunity to strengthen our relationships with key companies in the industry.
• With the warm welcome of Global STL , we visited the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, to partner in future developments in pesticides. ?
• We expand our team with fresh minds and professional talent: Aldana Pacenza , Camila Braile Coppolillo , Mariana Di Salvo Ambrosius and Nicolás Setzes joined our team.
• Unibaio was honored to win the First Argentine-German AgTech Contest . The State of Bavaria Office for South America evaluated solutions for agriculture based on criteria such as sustainability, innovativeness, and scalability.
• We were finalist of Slingshot Singapore Award, Israel Innovation Award, SantanderX (Spain) award.

Q3 HIGHLIGHTS:

• We continue to strengthen our technological evidence and knowledge, with new insights into the mechanism of action (we would love to share!)
• Thrive SGV Ventures :?We're honored to be among the Top 80 companies selected for the Global Impact Challenge out of 912 applicants.
• AAPRESID : Co-founder Claudia Casalongue participated in #AgtechWeek in Rosario, Argentina, where we had the honor of sharing insights with our advisor, Carlos Becco , and delving into innovative perspectives with industry leaders to propel the future of agriculture.
• With the warm welcome of NC Biotech , we visited the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina, offering us the chance to enhance our connections with major companies in the industry. ?
• We had the pleasure of participating in the IV Argentine Weed Congress?#ASACIM . These were days of enriching conversations with prominent industry leaders, during which Co-founder Maria Florencia Salcedo , shared our achievements in reducing Glyphosate doses .
• Co-founder Maria Florencia Salcedo participated on the XXI B-MRS MEETING, organized by the Brazilean?Materials Research Society.
• We've welcomed a new addition to our team, bringing in fresh perspectives and professional expertise: Aldana Anahí Ciani has joined us.

Q2 HIGHLIGHTS:

• Shell's New Energy Challenge :?We were one of five finalists, showcasing our technology's potential to contribute to Shell's NetZero goals. We were awarded as the "best pitch" and this opportunity is bringing a potential collaboration with Shell.
• Product Development:?We made significant progress in developing our new, more versatile and efficient delivery system technology, based on biodegradable microparticles. We initiated stability tests, along with improvements in the particle formulation.
• Plug and Play Accelerator :?Unibaio joins Plug and Play's open innovation program, unlocking mentorship and US market access for accelerated growth. We showcased our tech among industry leaders in the Plug and Play Topeka Expo, in Kansas. Video recap here.
• Vera Alvarez , Co-founder of?Unibaio , has been honored with the prestigious 2023 Konex Platinum Award of Science and Technology in the Nanotechnology and Analytical Chemistry category. Vera álvarez is a research powerhouse in Argentina and a constant source of inspiration for all of us. More info here .
• Juan Martín Giussi and Gabriel Longo joined our advisory board to add their perspectives and professional expertise in the chemical and mathematical modeling fields.

Q1 HIGHLIGHTS:

• We obtained results from the Spring-Summer 2022-203 season in Argentina, testing the co-formulation of our particle with synthetic herbicides and fungicides. In all cases, we observed positive synergies, with dose reductions of up to 60%, while maintaining the same proposed biological effect.
• SF500 :?We received funding from a leading life science venture capital firm, to accelerate our growth and advance our innovative delivery system for agriculture.
• We were named one of Hello tomorrow’s Deep Tech Pioneers! And we have been invited to participate in the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit , Paris 2023.
• Philip Rollinson joining our Advisory Board is truly an honor, bringing decades of experience in the agrochemical industry to enhance Unibaio's strategy.
• Florencia Erriquenz has joined our team, and we've also gained the support of Rolando Bidegain in Agriculture and Mariana Recavarren in Grants expertise.
