We Recently Completed our Fourth Clayton Hotel Project
With 40 years’ experience working within the hospitality industry, it should come as no surprise that we have recently completed our fourth Clayton Hotel project. Having first been awarded the fitted furniture package for Ballsbridge back in 2018, we have since gone on to supply specialist joinery for Cardiff Lane, Dublin; Red Bean Roastery, Dublin and most recently the Clayton Hotel, Cork.
Cheque Presentation to Pieta House and Women's Aid
Last week, we were delighted to present Pieta House and Women's Aid with a cheque for an impressive €17,000 which we raised from our 4 Peaks Challenge this year!
Back in June, members of our staff completed the 4 Peaks challenge within the 24 hour limit (23 hours 25 minutes to be exact!). They began their challenge at Carrauntoohil, Co. Kerry (1,038m), then went on to tackle Mweelrea, Co. Mayo (814m), Slieve Donard, Co. Down (925m) and Lugnaquilla, Co. Wicklow (850m). There were a few sore bodies but all of them recovered well and were delighted with their achievement.?
We’re extremely proud of them all and very grateful to everyone who donated. We would also like to thank the people who drove the minibuses between the mountains: Bryan McKenna, Laura McKenna and Niall Teague.?
40 Years in Business!
If you've been following us, you will know that this year we celebrated 40 years in business! Back in 1982, Truwood was founded by Philip, Al & Olive McKenna. They started off in a small garage with just 2 employees and 3 machines. Over the last 4 decades, through sheer hard work and dedication, they have grown the business to a staff of 55 working in a 3,750m2?factory with 35 state-of-the-art machines.

The second generation are now at the forefront of the business and are very focussed on the growth and development of the staff here and ensuring the high-quality bespoke joinery continues. Their goal is to help turn clients and designers dreams into a reality.
Alongside the expertise of the team, many of whom have been here with Truwood for 20+ years, they have also invested heavily to ensure that we are at the top of our game within the industry and that our skilled craftsmen have access to the latest state of the art machinery.
Joinery Fit Out for Cavistons Seafood Restaurant, Glasthule, Dublin
We are very proud to have been involved in the beautiful, new seafood restaurant for Cavistons in Glasthule, Dublin.?
Working closely with contractors Northstone, designers?O'Donnell O'Neill Design?and architects?DMOD?we completed the full scope of joinery throughout.?
The skill and craftsmanship of our work is reflected throughout the building and the pictures here really showcase this.?
Christmas Holidays
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers, suppliers and social media network a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Our offices will be closed Friday 23rd?December to Monday 2nd?January. We will open the morning of Tuesday 3rd January, very excited for what's ahead in 2023!
