Longyearbyen is the capital and it is located on the main island - Spitzbergen. Here you can find couple of hotels, restaurants, shops, port and the airport. The newest hotel here is the newly rebuild boutique hotel Funken Lodge. 

Nature & wildlife are never far away here and during the summer time the bright midnight sun helps you to enjoy the nature 24 hours a day. Seeing the amazing glaciers carving is an impressive sight. There is a lot of wildlife - different whales, walruses, seals, birds, reindeer, foxes and if you are lucky you might see the King of the Arctic - the polar bear. 

Probably the most exclusive way to explore this amazing nature is with a schooner. You will be sailing around 4 days and exploring every day new exciting places. The schooner takes only 12 guests so you can enjoy this tranquil journey without any hassle. You have your cozy cabin with private bathroom, but most of the time you will spend on the deck or the lounge, naturally when you are not discovering the islands with zodiac boats.

Do one of the coolest experiences you can - go from a sauna for a swim in the Arctic ocean - a refreshing experience while your armed guide is keeping a watch for the polar bears.
