Welcome to Think Collective – a community of thinkers and doers

Imagine a world where everyone enjoys agency, dignity and choice. A world where communities have the power to solve the problems closest to them and systems have the agility to keep becoming more efficient. A world where our response to social problems outpaces the ways in which they currently manifest and are emerging.?

While travelling with many changed leaders over the years, we’ve realised it takes a village to reimagine and realise such a world. A long journey like this is made lighter when there are people to walk with – after all, together is faster, lighter and better.?

Last year, Sanjay Purohit , Naveen Varshan and I curated a set of 3 books Think Scale , Think Speed and Think Sustain as companions on the journey to impact at scale – by your side as we learn from thinkers and practitioners from around the world, reimagine possibilities and embark on audacious endeavours.?

Alongside, we wanted to open up a space for all of us to pause, reflect and reimagine. This has come alive as Think Collective – a community of dynamic thinkers and practitioners who care deeply about tackling social problems with exponential change, learning from the lived experiences of doers and working towards a shared vision.

In the last month, here’s how Think Collective has become a vibrant space of reflection and learning.?

  • The Societal Thinking team got together to talk about co-creation, the heart of our work, over tea and snacks. We held space for diverse experiences with co-creation – from product designers talking about designing for 90% and hoping the 10% follow and designing for everyone, to citizen leaders discussing the power of communities as participants rather than just being recipients.?
  • FIDE co-created a space with Think Collective to engage their team in a conversation about open protocols such as Beckn, agency, diversity and the words we all use and what they really mean to us. What stood out is how central distributing the ability to solve is for the FIDE team and us at Societal Thinking – showing up in the different ways in which we journey towards our shared vision of enabling exponential change.?
  • Inspired by Think Sustain, Preeti and Ravi mapped it to their lived experience working on creating systemic change ‘Transformation is a collective task: how citizens and government can collaborate’. Ravi and Preeti spoke about the ways new habits thrive in a new narrative – where citizens have the agency to create change and how working with the government can ensure this change sustains. With over 30 participants from different organisations and sectors, this conversation was enriched with diverse perspectives and smaller spaces for the participants to engage with each other.?

Think Collective is just getting started. In the coming weeks and months, we will be hosting more conversations and engaging open spaces.?

If you are inspired by the books,?join Think Collective for opportunities to share, collaborate and meet or co-create a discussion for your team around the Think books or highlight your lived experiences and insights in relation to the books. To do so, please write to [email protected] .?
