Sarah joined GLEG earlier this month as a Business Support Administrator. With her calm nature and strong work ethic, she is already making a positive impact within the team. Dedicated and eager to learn, Sarah is working hard to understand the business and its operations, ensuring she can provide the best support to both clients and colleagues. Her steady approach and determination make her a valuable addition to GLEG as the company continues to grow.

What excites you most about joining our team, and what motivates you in your new role?

For me, it’s the culture. From day one, I’ve been welcomed and supported, and it’s clear that everyone is passionate about the industry and what they do. There’s a real sense of teamwork, which makes me excited to learn from my colleagues with their years of industry knowledge, and apply my skills in a new industry.

Can you share a first impression or experience that has stood out to you since starting here?

The biggest thing that stood out was how genuinely supportive everyone is. Right from the start, I felt like part of the team. A colleague even bought me a coffee on my first day, which was such a thoughtful welcome and really set the tone for the friendly, team-oriented culture here.

What do you enjoy doing outside?of work? Any hobbies or interests you'd like to share?

Outside of work, my time is all about my two young children. We love exploring new places, going on days out, and taking long walks with our dog—it’s a perfect way to unwind!

What have you learned so far in your role, and what are you most looking forward to achieving?

I’ve already learned so much, especially about the energy industry’s terminology—there are definitely a lot of acronyms to get used to! I’m looking forward to becoming a key part of the team, supporting my colleagues, and developing my expertise in this fast-moving industry.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone about to start in a new role, what would it be?

Be proactive and take plenty of notes—I write everything down! Don’t be afraid to ask questions; it’s always better to clarify than assume. Every new role is a learning experience, so approach it with curiosity, confidence, and a willingness to grow.
