Welcome to the Struggle

When your mindset is founded and steeped in a hierarchical, dominant constructed system... you are confident, proud, entitled, and firm in your stance/perspectives of the world.? Only recently have you been forced to reckon with your identity because it is defined by this system, its practices, biases, injustice, exclusion, and racial ordering of all things. You haven't had to reckon with this because you have always been looking through the lens of a caste system with which you align, consciously and subconsciously, despite how much you claim to be an “ally.”
Now, your confidence, self-assurance, and framework for viewing the world have been ripped from under you when the supposed highest office in the land says you have run afoul of the hierarchical system...that you no longer can strive in your little mission of good because that mission has been deemed offensive to the governmental authoritarian state....you are no longer the tolerated radical you thought you were because now you realize it was officially sanctioned and tolerated. But poor you, you're on the outs now. Poor you, dealing with some real level of discomfort. I am sorry… here, let me wipe your tears.
Guess what...for many of us, that has been our existence and reality since conception. The rude and abrupt slap in the face we have confronted all the way back as children… watching our parents, relatives endure the burden, as well as learning about our ancestors' sacrifices and suffering. Poor you, only experiencing it because of concepts, while we experience it because of who we are—something which we cannot hide, nor change, nor do we want to. Yet, you have options...forsake the mission, scrub language from your files, website, postings, communications, and speeches... Yeah, I see you wavering….
Still, guess what? I am not surprised because, as you walked around with your little head held high, thinking you are the center and pinnacle of the struggle, I could see through your fragile ego, your indecisiveness, your inability to develop an original idea without talking points, counsel, guidance, and, oh yeah… more damn training… always training… your repetitive responsibility sidestepper.
You might get it together eventually if you find a spine, some conviction, courage, and strength to stand boldly for what you say you have worked for… the disparities, the exclusion, the suppression, mistreatment, hate, ignorance, bigotry, violence, and racism are real… Now is the time to step up. Or get the hell out of the way.
So, welcome to the struggle, to the trauma and enduring reality of struggle. Though it is only a temporary choice for you. You can choose to go back, choose to get in alignment, choose to acquiesce, choose to comply. We cannot, because for us, complying means laying down and dying, ceasing to exist, accepting the bottom rung of a social-economic-political form of existence.
Your trauma is temporal; ours is enduring. For us to comply means we should no longer be for you; it's only being on the outside with an invitation to come back if you acquiesce.
Your trauma is of a moment, while ours is the definition of the world around us. So, your struggle is no real struggle in the eyes of the suppressed. Suck it up, buttercup. Shxt just got real, for you. It’s been the landscape for us from Day One.
Even in the struggle, we are still blessed. Little do you know.
?
Take care.

1 周BLACK HISTORY 2025: Racism by GBFB The Hurt in Our Face: Outreach Director Bernadette Taylor Rabb Bernadette put her heart and soul into helping families, pushing through every obstacle to serve the community. Even after undergoing a double lung transplant last year, she remained committed to the cause. And yet, GBFB and other White-led nonprofits chose to discriminate against a Black nonprofit—Wrigcoll. They kicked us out of feeding families at a public event, turning their backs on the very people they claim to serve. This isn’t just exclusion; this is racism in action. They turn a blind eye. They move forward like nothing happened. But we’re here to say: We won’t forget, and we won’t be silent. Boston, the World is Watching. It’s time for justice. It’s time for real action. No more looking the other way. We demand: ?? Accountability ?? Compensation for the harm done ?? A formal apology Black history isn’t just the past—it’s now. And we will make sure our story is told. @NBC10Boston @MalNBCBostonNBC10 Boston @foodforfreeorg@masspirgstudent @ShellyBradbury @wbz @BostonTweet @SenRodrigues @SalDiDomenico @Gr8BosFoodBank @TuftsUniversity @biogen @DIVCOM.COM @FREEMAN
