The feedback I got from last week was great, and I appreciate everyone who replied back or messaged me. Tomorrow is the 4th of July here in the U.S. – a major national holiday to celebrate our independence.
There is a chance you are working but don’t feel like it, already thinking about parties, BBQs, fireworks. Or maybe you are off. Whenever you find this, I hope it helps you.
Let’s dive into this week’s content...
Selling Effectiveness
"People don't care how much you know..."
This is the first part of a great quote as well as a cliché saying that people use but don’t always fully understand. Right now, middle of 2024 – this statement has become one of the biggest pieces of mindset shifting sales advice I give to people and teams.
On the surface it seems like a simple concept and suggestion, but it’s really intricate and involved to actually accomplish.
The blog article goes into some details of why that is the most important focus and how to shift your mindset.

Leadership Effectiveness
Sure, there are times you need to push your team. Get something accomplished or moving forward quicker.
But pushing and pushing and pushing your team long term doesn’t work.
No one likes to be pushed.
No one likes to be managed.
This week’s Leadership Effectiveness blog is about what to do instead…and how to pull your team along the journey with you.

Sales Operation Effectiveness
With every game there are rules.
There is also an incentive for doing well, for winning.
If we sat down to play a board game, there would be rules – guide rails to keep it fair for everyone, to give everyone the same chance. And it would be clear when someone wins.
In business, especially with sales teams, I have seen countless times where a sales operation has set the rules of the game to benefit the sales reps, but as a result no one else is winning.
What should you do about it? This week I will give you 6 things you consider for building a fair, win:win game where the company actually has a chance to win!

That’s a lot for this week…to help you in any area of your sales leadership and/or sales career. My mission is to help good companies (and salespeople) help more people.
If you found this valuable, then please do 3 things:
1. Use what you read, put it in place, don’t let it stay a ‘good idea’
2. Reply back and let me know your feedback!
3. Share this newsletter with others in your network who are in leadership and sales
PS. Just reminder of my request – if you can take a minute, please use this link to check out and subscribe to the YouTube channel – if you aren’t already. It really helps get more videos out to more people.
PPS. When I lived in WA state a long while ago, we would go to the Indian Reservation and get lots of really big, impressive fireworks. Was so different from when I was a kid, growing up in CA during a drought where we could barely do sparklers and those black snakes that come out of the ground. Got fun plans of blowing up stuff to celebrate ‘Merica?
