This is the final chapter on hiring our first full-time employee for now, and fortunately, it is ending exactly as I hoped. We’ve found and hired the perfect candidate, so starting this Monday (in just 3 days!) Sara Hvidhjelm will join us as our new Customer Success Manager ???
Sara will own the customer journey from the initial customer meeting/presentation to onboarding and ensuring our customers get the full advantages of using Herodesk.?
By owning, I mean it’ll be her job to design and execute the best customer journey possible, getting as many as possible to see why Herodesk is a great fit for them, fully onboarding them, and ensuring they’re fully utilising our product.?
The numbers are already clear: Getting customers to actually use the product is absolutely essential. Obviously, but still…?
In the second round of interviews for this position, we had five amazing candidates. Any of them could have been a great fit for this role. But at the end of the day, when we had to reduce the five to one and find the one who we believe will be the best suited to help us achieve our (short—and long-term) goals, Sara came out on top on all three parameters: personality, skills, and experience.?
The more I work with Herodesk and our customers, the clearer it becomes that there are so many potential customers who don’t fit in with many of the alternative solutions. They either prefer or need assistance getting started. We want to offer that help.?
On top of offering a super simple and affordable alternative to many other helpdesk/customer service platforms out there, we’re putting our money where our mouth is and doubling down on what it’s all about: Great customer service!?
I want to wrap up this post by once again thanking you all for your help and support. The LinkedIn posts about this job have reached more than 60.000 people. We received more than 100 applications, held more than 20 first-round interviews with super amazing people, and can now conclude the project with the best outcome possible.?
I can’t wait for Monday so we can get started and take Herodesk to the next level!?
