We’ve got all the newest LinkedIn updates covered for you in one place!
Hacking it and rocking it
- September is special in so many ways. Just like last year, the highly anticipated HackYeah
was around the corner. We were incredibly enthusiastic about it, especially as a total of 40 Sabre team members were heading there to participate in the competitions, join the Sabre stand, or mentor talented young coders
.
- Our excitement turned out to be fully justified, as the “All Sabre” team consisting of our team members shone and won the top prize in the "Together for Safer Cycling Roads"
category! Once again, huge congratulations to the winners: Monika Dziedzic
, Magdalena Kot
, Marcin ?emlok
, Konrad Foryciarz
, Dominik Gawrys,
Adam Wasylewicz
. Of course, it could not have happened without our mentors:
Magdalena Gondek, PMP?, Prince2?, IPMA?, PSM?, Google CDL?
,
Mariusz Kuras
,
Celestyna Nowak -P?drak
,
Anna Szwiec
,
Anna Micek
,
Joanna Polek
and
Magdalena Ryszczyk
??We can’t wait to be back next year for even more victories!
Summer means Internship
The last month of the Summer Internship was, as it should be, extremely intense and educational.
- The first Sabre Summer Camp
took place, where our Interns grouped into six teams worked for days to create the best apps, practicing not just coding, but also teamwork and communication. Their dedication and results exceeded the expectations of the Summer Camp jury. This once again proves that our Interns are the best! Special thanks to
Anna Micek
, the internship project coordinator! You set the bar high, and we can't wait to see what the next edition will bring.
- Pawe? Szonecki
invited Anna Merak
and Kacper Sobolak
to the very first episode of his Summer Internship Podcast miniseries
. They discussed motivations and learning experiences while also taking a retrospective look at the recruitment process. It’s a must-listen. Stay tuned for the next episodes!
Sabre on the move
- Our runners hit the trails again, competing in the 17th Bieg Trzech Kopców
. With perfect weather and amazing scenery, it was another unforgettable weekend. Cheers to everyone who took part!
- We joined the Poland Business Run 2024
with 10 teams, contributing to a great cause while having fun! Special kudos to our “Sabre Run Force One” for finishing in the top 10 out of 2,600 teams: Pawel Bulka
, Maksymilian Piasecki
, Michal Mlynek
, Emanuel Czaja, Tomasz Szkodziński
. Amazing effort, everyone!
- However, running isn’t the only sport where our team members excel and achieve something great. Sabre also made a mark at the ITSF CUP 2024, #1 Tennis tournament of the IT industry
, where Wojciech ?ukomski
reached the Top 8. A fantastic result and a great showcase of competitive spirit!
Life at our office
Various events made our office lively last month.
- We hosted a “Back to the Office” workshop
for office tenants, organised with JLL
. The event addressed hybrid work challenges, communication gaps, and changing office standards. It provided us with some fresh information about the evolving workplace environment and sparked lots of interesting discussions.
- Sabre’s internal AI Hackathon took place, and the outcome was pretty exciting. The “NeuraOps” team won first place
after taking on the complex challenge of automating operations. Their solution, SRE Advisor?, optimises recovery time, proactively detects issues, and enhances productivity. A big shoutout to the incredible NeuraOps (Mariusz Marsza?ek
, Lukasz Stanczak
, Dominik Góralczyk
, Rafa? Dudek
, Grzegorz Wojciechowski
) for this huge achievement!
Sabre Poland Blog
As usual, another month means more in-depth expert content on the blog. In September, we've shared two articles with you:
- Marek Rusowicz
wrote about the tricky shift from managing engineering tasks to leading entire teams. In his article
, he discussed the core elements of leadership and ways to effectively manage diverse teams at various stages of development.
More articles will be coming soon!
