Welcome to Right To Play UK's December Newsletter!

A message from Right To Play UK's Executive Director, Gillian McMahon:

Dear supporter,?

As the year comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your incredible support. Amidst crisis, when the world becomes an unfamiliar place for many children, play stands as a beacon of hope and resilience. It offers a safe space where children can heal, learn and thrive despite being excluded from education or being forcibly uprooted from their homes due to conflict, poverty and climate change. ??

This festive season, when you support Right To Play by making a donation, or purchasing a festive e-card, your gift will be matched by a group of generous donors.?

That means every donation will have double the impact, allowing us to reach more vulnerable children through the power of play. ??

Your support remains fundamental to our ability to create lasting change. Together, we are transforming lives and shaping a brighter future for children around the world.?

Thank you.?

With best wishes for the year ahead, ?

Gillian McMahon, Executive Director, Right To Play UK?

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible events committee (Marie Fitzpatrick, FCCA, Neil McCann, Adam Turtle, Steven Batchelor and Ian Moore) behind the Sports Quiz, who, each year, pull out all the stops to make the event such a success.

A massive thanks also to our outstanding team and volunteers, our fantastic event sponsor PokerStars, and every single guest who joined us on the night.

And last but not least, congratulations to our very worthy winners of the quiz, Advent International.

? FUNDRAISING SPOTLIGHT ?

Hackney Play Day in solidarity with children in Gaza and neighbouring countries ?

A sign that says 'Right To Play' at the play day fundraiser in Hackney.

On Sunday 3rd December, Sesina Hailou, Fundraising and Communications Officer at Right To Play UK had the pleasure of visiting a family play day fundraiser in support of Right To Play, standing in solidarity with children navigating the challenges of war, trauma and displacement in Gaza and neighbouring regions.

Visitors on the day kindly gave donations to Right To Play UK's Children Emergency Fund which enables us to provide essential psychosocial support to children living through emergencies, helping them to overcome trauma and to continue learning in a safe environment.?

Huge thanks to Manal Massalha, Homerton Grove AP and Hackney Play Association for hosting such a great event!

Together, through initiatives like these, we are actively making a positive impact to the lives of those affected by the crisis.?

If you are passionate about the transformative power of play and would like to fundraise for any of our programmes or projects that protect, educate, and empower children, please get in touch at [email protected].??
