Welcome PBM. Join Us in the Pool.

Welcome PBM. Join Us in the Pool.

We all can agree that when great ideas are supported by clear and accepted terminology, the impact on the public can be amazing. However, if the term is not understood by the intended population, acceptance can be a challenge. This issue may have affected Patient Blood Management (#pbm) and its predecessor, "Bloodless."

While ideas are often shared during conferences, roundtables, or in hotel lobbies, we must bridge the gap in public understanding to achieve global acceptance. If stakeholders focus too much on medical niche acceptance, we risk diverging from the bigger picture: meeting the global needs of the public and patient population.

We are introducing a neutral platform to help the public better understand the relationship between blood management and anemia. Raising awareness of this relationship could be crucial for the expansion of Patient Blood Management.

Our team has designed an app that we hope will be well-supported within the PBM community. Our mission is to foster public engagement, simplify the understanding of PBM, create an easily accessible directory, offer a welcoming search environment, and provide visibility for healthcare providers and product developers.

It is an honor to create this communication bridge for the PBM industry. We hope you will join us by including your news releases, product ads, or listing your specialties in our PBM directory. Together, we can create a partnership that benefits everyone.

Of course, I can’t take all the credit—because no mission in life is ever accomplished alone. It always takes a village.
