? Tess Blackadder - Sales Operations Manager | Water
We hear so many cliché’s about “culture”, “diversity”, “inclusion” and “flexibility” that it’s such a surprise and revelation when you join a company that actually walks the talk.? Joining 嘉科工程 has been like a big warm hug. The initial welcome and onboarding has been a thoroughly enjoyable journey with the added bonus of working with some of the brightest minds in the water and sales industries.? Jacobs’ inclusive culture is providing me with opportunities to pursue my passion of developing emerging talent through coaching and mentoring, while providing broader platforms for continuous professional development.? I feel genuinely valued and appreciated.
? Hannah Raphael – Graduate Environmental Consultant?| Planning and Environmental Approvals
I joined Jacobs due to the exciting global reach and opportunities within the company. I have been with Jacobs for nearly 5 months now as a Graduate Environmental Consultant in the Environmental and Planning Approvals team, and it is such a great company to work for. Jacobs has a great culture of inclusion and actively strives to ensure everyone feels welcomed and included. The opportunities to work with fellow Jacobs colleagues nationally and internationally has been incredible, with Jacobs encouraging these interactions, leading to better outcomes for our clients. I’m so grateful to be part of Jacobs and can’t wait to see where it will lead me. ??
? Christine (Chrissy) Higgins - Sales Operations Manager, ANZ Roads
After living in Perth for the past 6 years, I decided to relocate back to my home country, New Zealand. My grandson was coming up on 7 years old and I realised I was missing out on “Grandma time”. I wasn’t looking for a new role immediately, but before I ended up back in New Zealand I was contacted by a past colleague to see if I was interested in taking a look at the Sales Operations Manager, Roads NZ position and attending an interview. She knew I would be a great fit and I’ve got to say that I do not regret my move to Jacobs at all. I feel well embedded and welcomed into a team after just a short few months that works together and cares for each other’s wellbeing.
What has really impressed me about working for Jacobs is the inclusive and diverse culture and genuine care for the people. Not only do Jacobs provide benefits including medical insurance for all staff, the working from home arrangements has meant that I can work in another city and have the great work life balance without the travel. ?
? Heba Elsaid – Project Manager
I’m very much impressed by the increased number of women in this specific work domain. After my first interview with Kylie Wood, I felt empowered and convinced that Jacobs is the right place for me as a woman in leadership. I've heard great things about Jacobs from different people—praising their work culture, strong systems, and support programs for employees. I'm eager to grow with a company that values its employees and is committed to a sustainable environment.
I'm happy to be part of the Jacobs family and look forward to celebrate my first and many more anniversaries with the group.
? Laura Stewart - Director of Operations, Strategic Consulting ANZ
Jacobs providing me with the career advancement opportunity I was looking for. And it didn’t matter that I was returning from maternity leave. As a new mum who was returning to work and stepping into a new role, I have felt a huge amount of support from my team and leaders. And have been provided with real flexibility to work when I needed to.
? Heather Lorio - Supply Management - Buyer
Having stepped out of procurement for a few years while raising a family my top 2 requirements when deciding to step back into procurement were flexibility and career restart / growth. Jacobs have exceeded my expectation in both areas, not only do I feel like I am stimulated and can see opportunity for growth and development, but I also get to be flexible to go to those special assemblies etc. I enjoy the shared learning across the Global Team and love that the ANZ Supply Management team is supportive towards each other and respectful of where everyone is in their stages of life and career.
? Cassandra Buckley - Senior Associate Engagement and Communications
I find Jacobs is very people focused and that means a lot to me. Individuals’ professional skills and experience are highly valued and I see a genuine, strong focus on gender equity and diversity across the company. I love having the opportunity to work with colleagues from such diverse backgrounds and am particularly keen to support young professionals entering the world of consulting.
? Dilshad Marium - Project Manager | Defence & Regional Security
I accepted the job offer from Jacobs because of the transparent, understanding, and respectful interactions I had during the fast and efficient recruitment process.
During my initial months, I've found Jacobs to have a warm and welcoming team. The leadership I've observed so far appears to embody transparency, authenticity, and compassion, aligning with the proclaimed "Jacobs culture of caring." My onboarding experience was seamless, and I felt integrated into the team from day one. I appreciate Jacobs' global and international presence. Through networks like the Women's network and Careers network, I was able to connect with professionals worldwide, expanding my professional exposure. The abundance of employee benefits reflects the endless opportunities to support employees' goals and aspirations at Jacobs. In summary, my first impression of Jacobs is this is a wonderful company to work for.?
? Daisy Chilelli - Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Joining Jacobs has been a really rewarding experience and 2023 has been an Annus Mirabilis!
The environment has been really nurturing and inclusive amongst all those who I have come across, whether this was in my geotechnical team or other disciplines. Hard work gets recognised and does not go unnoticed – which is a nice thing. It makes you feel useful and with a sense of purpose on a day-to-day basis. I am excited to see what the future brings.
? Alena Scheitterer - Geospatial Graduate
Before I came to Jacobs I had never worked in consulting, had limited exposure to state-of-the-art GIS and pretty much no experience working in the Geospatial field. However, I had plenty of skills on offer that I gained while working in multiple Research Centers investigating coastal and climate impacts utilizing numerical model simulations, earning a Masters degree in Geography and a PhD title. I was lucky enough that the team from Jacobs did see my potential based on my working history and a person as such. Despite having been a full-time mum for a rather lengthy time, I was given the chance to start as Geospatial Graduate in the Perth Digital Solutions Team in March 2023. And I couldn’t be happier - Jacobs has been giving me the chance to change careers, has been providing a welcoming and inclusive workplace where I am allowed to learn and grow in every field possible. They even allowed me to adjust working hours to better accommodate family needs. It feels like a win on all levels – a job I love, where I can follow my passion and grow, work with a fun and encouraging team at a workplace that honours me as a whole.

? Anita Remontika - Geotechnical Engineer
Relocating from overseas and joining a large global company like Jacobs was initially daunting. However, that feeling quickly disappeared after meeting Jacobs Ground Engineering team, whose spirit and passion for their work resonated with me. I'm lucky to be part of such a supportive environment, where diverse perspectives are encouraged and a strong sense of belonging and purpose are fostered. I'm also impressed that Jacobs offers exciting opportunities to work on a wider range of projects beyond my current focus. I'm incredibly grateful to know I'm in the right environment to thrive as a geotechnical engineer.

There is a real sense of connectedness within the company, with teams willing to support each other whenever necessary and there is a real push for inclusion which I love.
