In May 2021, "HerValue" was born, dedicated to providing a platform for in-depth dialogue and to enhance the influence of women in the financial asset management industry.

HerValue's founding team is a group of outstanding women in the financial asset management industry. They come from large international multilateral investment institutions, sovereign funds, well-known law firms, major asset management institutions, and top financial media, etc. They use their professional ability and influence to build a strong HerValue network, inspire HerValue's infinite vitality, make it become the first more focused mutual empowerment organization of women's financial asset management circle in China, and constantly work together to realize the mission of HerValue.

Behind this group of superwomen, there were also seven independent contributors. Their figures appear at every online and offline event and at the end of every column. They work hard and persistently to accompany the growth of HerValue with their own thinking and exploration.

Shirley Liu

Xiang (Shirley) Liu(“Xiang Xiang”), holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees of university of Project 985 and Juris Doctor degree of University of Sydney. Currently, she is a senior legal officer of a central enterprise, and a member of HerValue Event Committee.

About Xiang Xiang

Xiang Xiang firmly believes that people have their own priorities at every stage of their life. As for work and life, you only need to follow your heart. Others' success stories are just for reference. No one can perfectly replicate someone else's life. Only when we are young, and the cost of trial and failure is low, can we really find out what we like, what we want and who we want to be.

Even at busy work, Xiang Xiang maintains her love of Pilates and rock climbing. She thinks that exercising is not only a way to sweat, but also an attitude toward self-disciplined living. 1.?Why to Join HerValue?

In the summer of 2021, I flew from Xishuangbanna to Shanghai, where I had the honor to meet Yin, the co- founder of HerValue. From her introduction, I learned about her contribution to the empowerment of women in the fields of finance, asset management and law, and the women's mutual aid system. I also got to know HerValue and the team members. ?Since I agree with her values and admire the influence of HerValue, why not participate in it and become a member of HerValue?

3.?What kind of growth did you get here?

For the first time, I managed to publish an article for event introduction on the WeChat platform of HerValue. In the beginning, I was very flustered. I had never done it before, nor did I have any guidance. I was always afraid of making a mistake. But after I took the step from 0 to 1, I became more and more proficient. Through such process, I could always understand the theme and guest lineup of the monthly event. I was also always full of anticipation when I was preparing the article!

Angelia Luo

Tao (Angelia) Luo ("Tao Tao") is currently a consultant in the field of digital transformation. Her daily work is to empower the digital transformation of enterprises and help the enterprises to solve various difficult problems encountered in the digital strategic transformation through technical means and digital solutions. Tao Tao has good Japanese capability and communication ability as well as machine language understanding. Tao Tao is mainly responsible for: event organization and planning, member liaison and communication.

About three years ago, as a fresh graduate, Tao Tao chose the consulting industry as a starting point for her career, considering her strong curiosity, hardworking and love to help others solve their problems, thinking that this job can give her the best training in all aspects she needs to develop in the workplace. Her growth in her current company over the past three years is pushing her to move on to her next goal.

1.?It is not simple to do simple things well.

In the initial stage of my career, I inevitably had to do some relatively basic work. Therefore, how to seek improvement and innovation from seemingly ordinary work, find customers' pain points in detail and propose solutions have become important principles which helped me grow. I found out that the maintenance itself was very manual, and the documentation for storing and managing the data was also very time-consuming, so I decided to spend a week or two combing through my workflow. After combing, rebuilding, and simplifying, I saved 60% of my time.

2.?Think big and act small.

When encountering a problem, sometimes it is easy to be trapped in the current situation. At this time, we might as well stand in a more macroscopic point of view, see the problem beyond itself, so that we can accurately locate the problem, instead of blindly throwing energy into unimportant problems, resulting in wasting a lot of time. Actions, on the other hand, are all about the details, and sometimes a small mistake can lead to big trouble down the road.

3.?Don't dwell on a moment of failure. Focus on achieving your goals.

Many of you have heard the phrase "Don't cry over spilt milk", but in practice you may not know when to wallow in failure and when to really recover and move on.

Accidentally saw her introduction of the public number of value, feeling this is a very unique organization, full of dry goods but full of warmth, I think this is the field I hope ah, they did not hesitate to choose to join.

After joining, I found that apart from the warm atmosphere, everyone is very professional, and every little thing is as professional as possible.

2.?What's it like working with such a group of superwomen?

Every member is full of superpower and very gentle at the same time. Every time we meet offline, we can get new surprises. Although there are still a lot of people we haven't met yet, it's really warm and happy to have such a great group of friends to do things and grow with. Everyone could play to their strengths and work towards the same goal. While achieving their own goals, they could also empower others. It was a wonderful experience.

3.?What kind of growth did you get here?

Broadened horizon: Apart from learning cutting-edge knowledge and industry information from the events that she holds regularly, participating in the planning and organizing of these events also helps me to know more about the people and the stories behind the events.

Simpleness: After participating in several activities down, I found HerValue is an organization with its unique temperament, I was very impressed that there is no need for too much pompous design and language, there is only dry goods and sincerity.

Continuous growth: 2022 happened to be the year I'm thinking about my career transition. Every one of HerValue contributors, supporters, and friends have given me lots of advice, encouragement, and support. I've also met a lot of interesting friends. I feel very lucky. Hopefully HerValue will empower many more people in the future.

Sunshine Li

Sunshine, is a project manager of financial enterprises. She is mainly in charge of the typesetting for the articles at HerValue Knowledge Committee.

About Sunshine：

Sunshine is always treasuring the present, because she believes that different stages of life always have their own splendor. But she never stops changing. After graduating abroad, she entered into a foreign-invested company, then changed to a state-owned enterprise, from a design firm, then into an airline company, and now into the financial industry. She is always trying, constantly breaking through, constantly creating, and walking out of the rhythm that she wanted, no matter how fast or slow, even if she may experience apprehension and uneasiness in such process.

1.?Unleash kindness. I often say that I am just like koi fish. No matter where I am, I always encounter tolerance and acceptance. Even if it seems like coercion at the moment, in retrospect, it is full of blessing and motivation for me to grow. ?So, no matter who or what I encounter, I always tell myself to face my daily conflicts with greater good will.

2.?Try to ask questions. About 2 years ago, I began to learn Coaching. At first, it was just because I always like to ask why in the face of all kinds of puzzling things. But often I found that once things have a reasonable attribution, there is no more action. In order to find out, I began to learn Coaching, and therefore more and more coach partners around me. Whenever I have a problem I can't figure out or solve, I will choose to find a coach partner around me, but also gradually learned to ask myself questions, put down, sort out a lot of "mess." One of the most common questions I ask myself is: "What do I want?"

I first learned about HerValue when I attended a joint event with Leanin and HerValue, which led to my joining HerValue.

To be cared for and encouraged. Because I participated in the Knowledge Committee's monthly article editing, I knew every little part of an event, an interview, and the final presentation process, was prepared by superwomen with their own passion. ?What others may see as just a short passage is what these Superwomen do for the love of meditation.

3.?What kind of growth did you get here?

HerValue is a non-profit-making organization, and each of the superwomen who participate in HerValue creates the environment in their spare time while they are busy with their main jobs. ?I still remember the first time I edited and proofread a manuscript. After a few days of editing and organizing, I thought I would be able to hand it in. However, Jane helped me revise it more than 20 times, from the logic of the words, to the order of the words, to the punctuation, to the accuracy of the words. Despite working overtime, traveling, and leading her own team to start a business, she was never less demanding of what HerValue had to offer her readers. It also gave me a deeper understanding of responsibility.

Edith Ren

Zheng (Edith) Ren, graduated from the University of International Business and Economics, took the ACCA test at school, did 6 different internships. After graduation, She is now working in one of the top four audit firms and responsible for organizing activities in HerValue.

About Edith：

Edith never leaves herself idle. At her current company, she helps organize events to promote diversity in the workplace and participates in a mentoring program to connect with talented women in the workplace. ?The biggest change in her life is that she started to learn Chinese dance from scratch in September last year. She has picked up her hobby and wants to dance until she is fifty years old.

I've always wanted to be a community of women empowering each other, but I haven't figured out how to do it. I happened to go to a HerValue event in September 2021, and I felt like I saw a bunch of people doing something I've always wanted to do, and I wanted to join.

Girls help girls and we empower each other, Each member of HerValue team has a unique experience and diverse background, and they are able to communicate honestly and work together to build her values. It is also a great learning opportunity to see people's different styles and ways of doing things.

3.?What kind of growth did you get here?

We got to know each other better, not only as working partners, but also as friends. After one of her monthly activities, I was talking to one of my friends who participated in the activities about discrimination against women in the workplace. She wants to help women as a senior manager, but many times she feels alone. She was grateful that HerValue brought together a group of people who want to empower women and speak for women in the workplace. That felt meaningful to me, too.

Yiwei Shen

Yiwei Shen, is currently studying LLM at Northwestern University School of Law after graduating from East China University of Political Science and Law. She is mainly responsible for writing in HerValue.

About Yiwei：

For life, Yiwei believes, it is best to achieve self-comfort, such as stopping and walking on the road, quietly watching people come and go, quietly, not disturbing your own heart, not disturbing the tranquility of the world.

As for job, she still wants to seek some changes. In addition to wanting to contact more professional fields to better determine the direction of her practice, she wanted to continue her studies because of the dance she gave up halfway.

During the internship, through the introduction of lawyer Ge, I learned that she valued the organization. First, I can learn from the superwomen how they arrange their time, plan their work and life. Second, I can broaden my horizons and thinking. Thirdly, I hope I can participate in the establishment and development of a platform for women to help each other in the process, and to contribute.

Huanjun Zhou

Huanjun Zhou, Master of Sociology from Durham University, UK, and Master of Science in Public Policy from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, was an exchange student at Shih Hsin University in Taiwan. She is currently working for a commercial bank engaging in corporate business.

She is responsible for preliminary preparation for events in Beijing, guest confirmation, on-site support and maintenance of HerValue community.

About Huanjun：

Huanjun is a person who has a high degree of life experience. From No. 25 Xisanhuan North Road to Taipei, London, Durham and Hong Kong, her school days were very full, without any waste of vacation, and what she wanted to do was always completed in her own planning.

Since becoming a newcomer last year, she has a full week of work, following up with the events of each issue of Her Value and spending her weekends at major exhibitions and galleries. She can try her best to complement and borrow strength from each other both in the field of work and personal interest. She always has her own time and space to spy on the beautiful and subtle things around her. She also believes that every little thing in life is a gift to her.

In July 2021, I began my internship in Han Kun. Also at the same time, under the guidance of Yin, I was lucky enough to join HerValue. At first, I just did some offline activities to support, then I found that I could continue to develop her favorite media industry, writing, talking with people, so I continued to make my own contributions here.

2.?What's it like working with such a group of superwomen?

These superwomen can not only complete their own work with high standard, but also complete all kinds of social work perfectly. They have time to spend with friends and still have time to do what they like. Their control of time, their responsible attitude towards themselves and others, and their ownership of tasks are what I admire and continue to learn from.

3.?What kind of growth did you get here?

Whenever Yin, Lily, or Jane talked to me about my experiences at HerValue, the first word that popped into my mind was "growing up". It has been almost a year and a half now. If the law firm internship allowed me to train and improve my professional depth and logical thinking ability, then what I saw and heard in HerValue allowed me to expand my horizons and explore my lifestyle in a completely different way.

I still remember the first time I participated in an offline event. I sat at the side table and nodded while taking notes. It was hard to imagine that the seniors who were already at the forefront of the industry had the same confusion and helplessness as me. I still remember the first time I wrote a manuscript and handed it to Jane, I was filled with uncertainty and hesitation …But gradually, I began to interview and write the articles on my own. In the process of conversing with those outstanding peoples, their kind smiles seemed to release the uneasiness in my soul. I could talk to them calmly, and let myself be taken into their story, and feel their awe of their profession, their dedication to life, and so on. I know there are many ways to open the life, I have seen some, but also because of this I know it is far from enough, and will be braver to try and adhere to.

When we looked back, just found that the thorns along the way were already in full bloom.
