10 October | Escot Estate, Ottery St Mary Join us at our roadshow event with guest speaker Simon West to learn about carbon reduction opportunities and the new grant funding available. East Devon District Council have launched new green grants of up to ï¿¡50,000 for local businesses and community organisations looking to make carbon reductions. There will be a range of businesses showcasing carbon reduction equipment who will be on hand to talk about their renewable solutions such as solar, EV charging and heat pumps which these grants can help fund, in addition to?installation costs. ? Roadmap for Southwest firms to Achieve Net-Zero Survey
Plymouth University have put together a survey which has been?designed to engage with local businesses to get a better understanding of the challenges and requirements being faced in meeting the UK's 2035 net zero targets. They are also looking for feedback on?tailored training workshops that aid firms in refining their business models towards these goals; and to develop a clear, straightforward roadmap that firms can follow to achieve sustainability and improve efficiency. Google Digital Garage, Exeter
25 October?|10am - 3pm University of Exeter Google Digital Garage is one of Google's flagship programmes in the UK, providing free digital skills training and mentoring to individuals and businesses. Join in this one day workshop, taking place on 25th October 10am - 3pm at Reed Hall, University of Exeter. There?will be varied sessions all day, alongside interactive networking opportunities. You will also be able to book private mentoring sessions throughout the day with Google digital trainers to focus on personal goals for your business growth. The workshop is open to everyone; small business owners or people interested in starting their own business.

Tabhair Trust
The Tabhair Trust provides grants of between ï¿¡500 and ï¿¡5,000 for charities in the UK and Ireland that support the disadvantaged and promote education, training and community action. The Tabhair Trust is passionate about nurturing small to medium sized charities in their aspirations to change communities and restore broken lives through providing opportunities for education, training and personal advancement.
Realising the Remarkable
Enterprise Nation and VistaPrint are bringing back the Realising the Remarkable programme to help more small businesses thrive. Twenty businesses will each win a ï¿¡3,000 grant to boost their enterprises and take the next steps towards growth.?
North Devon Refurbishment Grants
Independent town centre businesses in North Devon can apply for a small grant?for improving shop fronts or other potential enhancement projects. North Devon Council's Town Centre Enhancement Scheme was first launched in summer 2023 and encourages businesses to upgrade, repair and refurbish shopfronts in North Devon’s town centres. The council will contribute up to 50% of total eligible project costs, with businesses expected to match the council’s contribution. The maximum grant available is £2000 or 50% of eligible project costs, whichever is the lower amount.?The grant is ideal for supporting small repair or improvement projects such as fascia repairs, signage, painting and decorating, guttering, lighting and more.
