Ready, Set, GOAL: The Broadcast Fives Are Back!

The industry’s only five-a-side football and netball tournament is back by popular demand! Taking place on Saturday 8th June at Shepherds Bush Powerleague, the Broadcast Fives is your chance to compete against industry colleagues AND raise vital funds for people working across the industry. Last year we had 40 teams take part across both our football and netball mixed gender tournaments, and this year we want to make the competition even bigger and better! The competition is open to all companies working in film, TV, and cinema, so register your interest now to be kept up to date on news, ticket sales, and more. Results Of Our Financial Survey Released Next Week

Last year saw one of the most financially devastating periods for people working in film, TV, and cinema and we saw more people than ever contacting us for financial support. As we look ahead, and to ensure our support continues to be relevant to everyone in the industry, we conducted a survey in October and November last year asking people how they're coping financially. We secured more than 2,000 respondents, giving us a robust source of data is analyse. A massive thanks to everyone that took part! The results will be released on Tuesday 30th January, so keep an eye on our socials for an announcement and to read the report in full.

Funding Secured To Support New Entrants In West Of England

£300,000 has been secured by Bristol City Council’s Film Services to deliver a skills programme that will support new entrants looking to break into behind the camera roles on scripted film and high-end TV productions made in the West of England. The West of England Film & High-End TV Workforce Development Programme will launch later this month and will be open to regional participants from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the industry.
