Welcome to our Interns!
Terumo Young Talent Program

Welcome to our Interns!

Our Internship Program of Fiscal Year 22 is in full swing: welcome Jodie, Lobke, Thato, Emma, Jan-Willem, Ruben, Nour, Jens, Sander and Adiyasuld!?These 10 fresh minds are performing a three-to-four-month internship within our company in multiple fields of expertise.??During this period, they get excellent follow up by their coach and can actively participate in the day-to-day workings of a department or contribute to the success of a particular project.?

However, inspired by our core values Creativity and Care, we want to go beyond ‘just’ an internship in one department.?We organise additional community sessions for our interns to help them develop additional professional skills, give career advice and show them the full picture of Terumo so that they can understand how their internship within their team contributes to the overall success of the company. ?It is just as important that we make time to listen to their feedback, interests and aspirations and learn from them!?

Our current interns are studying Business Management, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Procurement and Human Resources and are performing their internship within Customer Care, Internal Audit, Payroll, People Analytics, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Marketing and Pricing.

During their onboarding sessions on their first day in February, they discovered more about the mission of Terumo and got access to our Learning Management System “Dojo,” which included LinkedIn Learning.?A great tool that can help them during their internship and allow them to get certified on any topic they find interesting.

This month we have organised a second community session.?All our interns got to know each other better, shared best practices and presented their internship topic to the rest of the team. ?Highlight of the day was meeting our Senior Vice-President of Terumo Interventional Systems, Ghada Farah.?Ghada shared her career experience and answered a lot of questions that our Young Talents had regarding.???

Of course, at the end of this session, we have put those fresh minds to work. ?We challenged them to a friendly competition:?two teams will?present us by the end of their internship?an employer branding plan toward Gen Z to advise us how we should connect well with this new generation that is entering the work floor.? As a follow up, our Young Talents got a plant tour, where they discovered even more about who we are, and how our products contribute to society through healthcare!?

Thanks a lot to all our interns that contribute to our success in Terumo, we learn a lot from you and we'll continue to do our best to offer you a great experience at Terumo. Of course, this is possible thanks to a solid collaboration between our business partners internally and Jan Swinnen, Bethsabee Bellinck, Jarne Jans our Talent Acquisition team. The way you supported the interns along their path with us is tailored and in line with our core values of respect, integrity, care, quality and creativity.

Great to read about all opportunities you offer to our UCLL Advanced business management Banaba students. Thanks a lot for the cooperation.
