Welcome to our First Newsletter!

We are LIVE!

..and I'm so happy you've stopped by.

This is 'The Source for Women in Cyber', a weekly newsletter on how to make women in cyber standard not exception. Each week, I'll be sharing insights, tips, and answering questions for women in cyber and businesses who value them. So if you've got any burning questions, write them in the comments box below. And, if you enjoy what you read, please help with the mission - to make women standard in cyber not exception by sharing this with your friends, and letting them know to subscribe so they don't miss out.

So what's coming? What have I been working on?

Well a tonne of things!

  • INSights, a new mini book for women in cyber. This little book has been created to give you the answers and shortcuts you need—fast. It’s a curation of my top insights and golden nuggets of wisdom that I’ve gathered along my way as a mother, female tech entrepreneur, and executive working in a male dominated industry, cybersecurity. These are the things I would have loved to have known earlier in my career. Things that would have made my life easier and perhaps my impact greater. It's had excellent reviews ahead of launching from partners at top consulting firms to CISOs and young entrepreneurs. It's been branded in line with my other books, see below. You can sign up for it here.

  • Women in Cyber Podcast. I'm working with a producer for this asset, and so far ,I've interviewed 4 guests. They were amazing! I need to interview 10 before launching, so I pace myself. In this podcast, which is for women at the peak of their careers or just starting out, we're embarking on a mission to make women in cybersecurity standard, not exception.?Our guests are sharing exclusive insights into their career challenges, pivots and turnarounds as well as their successes. We're exploring approaches to careers in cyber, allyship and leadership and exchanging ideas on how to get more women into cybersecurity. We want our listeners to come away inspired, empowered and ready to take action.
  • INFocus workbook. This asset is aligned to our mission to make women standard in cyber and will help us get there. It's not a planner but a tool to help you focus, reflect and advance. It supports my Clarity & Planning masterclass but you can use it without attending that. I don't have a photo of it yet as it's still in production but you can sign up to get on a waitlist so you'll be the first to know when it's out. Sign up here.
  • Branding and merchandise. I've been redesigning my website and making it flow better. I've also been working with a designer for our merchandise. They are sustainable and print on demand. You can have a look, or better still buy a T-shirt or hoodie here.

  • The Source Platform, an environment?where community and opportunity overflow for women in cyber and businesses who value them. The platform launched last year to around 100 beta testers. I've been working with my designers and holding feedback calls to add more value, along with prospective partner sales calls. We are getting ready to open our doors again next week. To join as a woman or partner sign up here.

  • Assessment Tool/ Diagnostics and Report. This is my latest creation and very soon, if you're a business who values women, you'll be able to take a diagnostic and discover why you're not attracting and retaining more women. The report is comprehensive, at just under 10,000 words. It includes 7 core strengths you need if you're to make women standard not exception. Sign up here.

  • Videos and interviews. In March I engaged a brilliant video producer to help me tell The Source story, create ads, and a welcome page for the platform. It was intense as I had to write a script, learn it, find leaders who could join me for filming on the day, and perform myself without an autocue! Anyway, those assets are in place now, and next week I'll release them to you!
  • Systems and the team. Not everyone has worked out, despite recommendations, and we are still adding/ culling / transferring some systems. But I have an excellent core team, and I'm grateful to have them with me on this mission to serve you. We may be small, but we see this as a strength as we are incredibly nimble!

So, what's next?

If you're a woman in cyber or business who values women, and you want to improve results, we need to talk!

love your book cover designs..

Jane, I am an educator, teaching graduate courses in cybersecurity. I would be happy to refer women students to your resources. The class I teach in July actually has a majority of women students, which has been rare.

Thank you for this article Jane ? ! In my opinion, If we look at today's challenges from a critical perspective, we must value every resources (men & women alike) we could gather to face them and build a better & safer cyberspace ! It requires us all to be involved ! I also use this occasion to pay tribute to women pioneers that contributed in an unprecedented way to craft today's IT standards, to mention the least : -Ada Lovelace, The first ever computer programmer -Margaret Hamilton, The woman behind Apollo's on-board flight software -Dorothy McEwen, the co-founder of Digital Research Inc (Who invented the personal computer) -Mary Maxwell Gates, (Bill's mother) the woman that is behind Microsoft's early boost and real success -Lisa Nicole Brennan-Jobs, (Steve job's daughter) who inspired her father's works on legacy apple products. And so much other admirable world changing women figures !
