Love is in the air this February, and I am happy to author this month's newsletter to share the love I have for all our Parent Education Providers across the state!? During February, Family Support Engagement Month, it is more important than ever to uplift the work our providers do every day to empower parents across the Commonwealth.? Upstream Academy Applications Announced
Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky is excited to announce our new Upstream Academy.? The Academy?will allow at least one person from each Kentucky county to be trained in the latest child abuse and neglect prevention messaging and strategies.??After successful completion of the Academy, members will be required to provide presentations and trainings on evidence-based and evidence-informed curricula in their local communities.??

Welcoming Amanda Clark, our new Upstream Academy Coordinator
Join us in welcoming our newest staff member, Amanda Clark!? Amanda C. is serving in a brand new role as our Upstream Academy Coordinator.? She will be available to all applicants to the Academy to answer questions and coordinate all things Upstream!? In her free time,?she enjoys reading, walking with her dog, Luna, and spending time with her husband and three teenagers.??

Welcoming Mickey Little, our new Lean On Me Kentucky Coordinator
Join us in welcoming one of our newest staff members, Mickey Little, to the PCAK team.? Mickey is serving as our Lean On Me Kentucky Coordinator.? He will be working to raise awareness about the factors that protect families from overwhelming stress, and providing resources and training to help community members strengthen families.? Mickey comes to PCAK with a vast experience in mental health, substance use, and school counseling.? Mickey enjoys cooking, traveling, being outdoors, being with friends, and coming home to his dog, Dolly Pearl.

Child Abuse Prevention Month will be here before you know it, and this year we are excited to focus on hopeful futures for all children and families!? Our Resource Guide is currently available to all our Partners and stakeholders, and we look forward to all the great activities we have planned leading up to and throughout April.?
