December 2024 Edition

Welcome back to our monthly newsletter!? Thank you for a great year; we could not do this work without you.?

Happy December to each of you!? As we approach the final days of 2024, I find myself reflecting upon all the great things that have happened here at PCAK this year.? Listed further down in this newsletter are our Top 10 Mission Moments of 2024, but I would like to highlight some important milestones here.??

This year, we had three advocacy wins in Frankfort. We successfully advocated for HB 207, HB 453, and secured funding for our new Upstream Academy.

Our annual awareness campaign, Pinwheels for Prevention at the state Capitol in Frankfort, brought a crowd of over 150 people. We planted 4,000 pinwheels, each representing 12 children born in the last year; and increased awareness with this campaign.??

We created 20 new pieces of educational content and distributed 91,374 materials to families across our state.

We have also been busier than ever training stakeholders across the Commonwealth. We hosted more than 650 individuals at our 28th annual Kids Are Worth It! Conference.

Thank you for all you do to support Kentucky families, whether that be in your professional capacity, or through engaging with our work throughout the year.? We look forward to continuing our efforts in 2025, and are excited to have you alongside us!?
