Edinburgh TV Festival 2023

Next week one of the biggest TV industry events of the year kicks off, the Edinburgh TV Festival! This year we will be playing a major role in two agenda-setting sessions, bringing the issues impacting people behind the scenes to the heart of the TV sector. On Wednesday 23rd August at 10am, Marcus Ryder, in his first appearance as our new CEO, is taking part in the opening debate, 'Who Holds the Power in TV?', alongside other leading industry figures. Later that day, at 4.45pm, our own session 'Production Under Pressure - Supporting Life on the Frontline' also takes place, with Marcus discussing the financial resilience of the workforce, the relationship between that and mental health and wellbeing, and asking what else the industry can do to support its workers. Keep an eye on our social channels for news of who will be joining the panel!
