Algeco modular Community Diagnostic Centres tackle waiting times

We have developed a new range of standardised CDCs (Community Diagnostic Centres) in partnership with Hygieia, based on our revolutionary platform design modular construction system.?

The CDCs provide local communities with fast, flexible access to a range of checks, scans, and tests closer to home. By diverting people away from hospitals in this way, CDC’s reduce the number of visits and waiting times for NHS patients.?

The new Algeco CDC’s are available in:?

• Three standard sizes: Small, Medium and Large?
• Suitable for NHS Trusts and the private sector
• Offered with a turnkey design, delivery, construction and finishing service?
• Incorporate all servicing, including specialised electronics for imaging equipment.?
• Fully compliant with HTM / HBN requirements?

Demand for diagnostic tests continue to increase as more than 85 per cent of patients seeking NHS care now require this service. As of April 2023, around 1.6 million people in England were waiting for a diagnostic test.??

Algeco charges ahead with GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourts;

Our offsite team has secured an order with GRIDSERVE to supply a series of two-storey permanent modular retail buildings that will support its ongoing expansion programme.??

We have already supplied this customer with turnkey retail solutions to a location in the south and are currently working on another at Stevenage, with more to follow.?

GRIDSERVE selected Algeco to supply the two storey modular buildings because we have been actively engaged in developing a ‘green’ forecourt solution with them for some time.??

We always work hand in hand with our customers, including supplying full turnkey retail solutions to other leading brands in the sector such as McDonalds and Starbucks.??

Each GRIDSERVE location comprises a set number of modules and these are manufactured using our innovative platform design solution. As well as delivering important scheduling and quality benefits, this approach ensures a much lower carbon build than an on-site build and much less than even a modular approach.?

All this aligns well with the GRIDSERVE objective of having high levels of sustainability on all its new sites – customer who charge their electric vehicles are even supplied with 100% renewable energy.??

All-in-one solution for Northampton School

Our one-stop solution for customers looking for high quality building spaces is being perfectly illustrated at Northampton School for Boys.

We’re supplying an offsite build of the entire new school, site accommodation for duration of the project and temporary classrooms for hire to ensure continuity of the teaching timetable:

Offsite construction of entire new school

Construction of the new Northampton School for Boys by the Algeco Offsite team is creating a 1200 place new secondary school, including sixth form provision.

Work began on site in January 2023 preparing foundations. At the same time, we manufactured 210 building modules. Completing these two activities in unison reduced the overall schedule by around half compared to an on-site build.

Utilising our latest innovative platform design solution is delivering important synergies in terms of sustainability, lower embodied carbon and further programme scheduling.

Offsite construction of the entire new school is on schedule for completion in September 2024.

Updated Algeco website showcases extended solutions

We are in the process of updating and improving our website, with some of the pages already live, such as our new range of CDCs.?

When the full suite of improvements are unveiled in early December it will offer an enhanced user-friendly experience with improved navigation and functionality, while allowing customers to see the full product portfolio Algeco can offer.?

New to the website is our storage containers and an extended range of site accommodation as the Mobile Mini offering joins the Algeco brand.?

Created with the user experience in mind, the site will include many new features to help you quickly and easily navigate and find the solution you need.?

Algeco wins Silver MOD award

We are pleased to report that Algeco has secured Silver in the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Awards.

Our Head of Bid Management, John Hogg, and National Plant Manager, Andrew McLaughlan, recently attended the award ceremony and were presented with the certificate, shown here.

The event was held at the picturesque Madingley Hall Gardens in Cambridge.?John and Andrew not only had the opportunity to connect with fellow attendees but also meet with members of the East Anglia RFCA (East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association).

We take great pride in having ex-force members as part of the Algeco team and are deeply honoured to receive the Silver Award.

This recognition shows our unwavering commitment to the Armed Forces community and their families.
