Hello and welcome to my newsletter, Workplace Well-being, a space where I talk about how to build happier work lives and create sustainable and healthy work environments.
I'm excited to share with you ideas, concepts and practical tips from research papers, talks and books that I find useful and intellectually stimulating on well-being at work, work culture and everything work, behaviour and psychology related.
I often read books and research papers and listen to lectures and talks on organisational behaviour, psychology and mental well-being.
An amazing thing happens when I'm reading. My mind goes into a connection mode with new ideas cropping up everywhere and connecting with my past experiences and knowledge and thoughts. If I could paint a picture, it would look like millions of neurons lighting up one after the other connecting from one idea to the next like a well-lit starry night. It's a feeling of excitement for all the future possibilities, everything that is, why and how it can be. I get overwhelmed by how I could possibly capture this into something tangible so I don't forget it the next second as another idea pops in my head as the wave of light swiftly flows in my brain. So I pause and quickly scribble some words in a note as I try my best to put what I had in mind into words.
It's those words that I want to share and discuss with you. I hope you will engage me.
