Welcome to The Marketing Gist

Hi everyone.

I finally did it! Per somewhat popular demand, let me introduce you to TMG (The Marketing Gist). Everyone who knows me personally knows how passionate I am about marketing. It is my hope that with this biweekly newsletter, I can share insights into product marketing, how I built my product marketing career, lessons learned, and much more.

The end goal is to have a podcast where I can invite some amazing marketers who inspire me to talk about their journeys and answer burning marketing questions.

Who am I:

I am Maryann Okonkwo-Abakporo. I bring an extensive marketing background and broad marketing experiences spanning from agency to brand to tech. I am married, and my husband and I currently live in Minnesota. When I am not working, I love to take pictures with my DSLR named 'Bella'.

Why create this newsletter:

It has always been a passion of mine to share whatever I know with others. I recently completed my MBA and learned a lot. Bringing all my experiences and education together - I think I can help someone out there hone their marketing skills.
