Welcome to The March 360

I am a digital entrepreneur and the founder of Digital360.mobi a digital agency with a difference. It turns out it is quite a big difference, so much so, it has become our USP!

This monthly communication is designed to give you a 360 on what we do by focussing on the amazing partners we get to work with.

As I write this communication, Russia has invaded Ukraine, starting another war in Europe which has already exploded into something even bigger and more traumatic than the previous incursion in 2014. I have to wonder why we as a world still tolerate these dinosaurs of old men who seem to think they have the right to repress nations of millions. Let's hope and pray for the salvation of Ukraine.

To talk about luxury fashion at this time seems a little facile, but Mr Putin and others like him crave the world's attention at all costs. In opposing and defeating him we must also ignore him as a relic of the last century.

This month, I want to talk about one of my great partners, Mena Hamoodi and her haute couture fashion brand MH Mena. Mena has been with us for nearly two years, and what a wild two years they have been. Mena was introduced to us as a young designer with very big dreams. Less than two years later, she is well on her way to fulfilling those dreams.

Tuesday, March 8th is International Women's day, MH Mena is the perfect business to champion on this very special day. Our copywriter Ted Marriott, has worked closely with Mena over months to encapsulate the world of haute couture in the series of stories that are now shared on a monthly basis. This one provides an insight into her universe. Our whole team has worked closely with her to carefully craft her brand to be a true reflection of her and her worldview, which is based firmly on female empowerment, sustainability and more than a dash of spirituality.

Her past experience of working in global design houses has perfectly equipped her to face many of the challenges of Haute couture design and manufacturing. But Mena would be the first to admit that the learning curve has been a particularly steep one.

A creative person may have all the attributes to produce extraordinary and glamourous dresses, but it takes wisdom beyond her years to surround herself with an experienced and talented team of individuals who have all excelled in their own areas of the business to perfectly compliment Mena in her desire to see her dream become a reality.

Special mention in this respect must go out to Charmain Gyles-Ferguson who as a luxury recruitment consultant, was instrumental in assembling both the sales and production team for Mena, at short notice and doing such a wonderful job as a trusted business consultant in the process.

The website was created by our lead designer Veronica Mesuraca with a vision of luxury, timeless quality and indulgence in mind. The site takes the simplest of forms and is clean and uncluttered, punctuated with arresting photography. There are no superfluous touches and unnecessary functionality over and above what you need to navigate the site and enquire about one of these wonderous garments.

The photography for the Rise collection was particularly stunning, we used the celebrated portrait photographer John Ferguson, who has consistently exceeded all our expectations with his work. He is part of the team at Digital360 and has now become the official photographer for the MH Mena brand.

The first MH Mena collection was entitled Rise. The whole collection reflected Mena's deep interest in poetry and the mysticism of the East.

MH Mena is dedicated to creating bespoke, haute couture luxury womenswear pieces. MH Mena will translate a client brief into a timeless, exclusive dress, created with the finest, quality materials. All pieces are made-to-measure and designed to transform the clients' vision into a perfectly sculpted garment.

The Rise Collection

Mena is now working with us to promote a new capsule collection of gorgeous kaftans to be launched in time for Ramadan in April. This will be the first in a line of accessible ready to wear collections, designed to act as a gateway into the universe of MH Mena.

We are hard at work bringing that collection to life online and on Mena's Instagram, where you will be able to purchase the kaftans later this month.

Next month we will feature a look at a very special series of personal interviews from the world of luxury fashion from another of our long time partners Outside The Box Recruitment.

Thank you Dwayne for this inspiring read! It is really important for me as a Russian person for at least two reasons. First, it is great to see that the war the Russian government started in the Ukraine is not perceived as something all Russian people want. Just on Sunday more than 5000 brave Russian people were violently arrested for protesting against the invasion. They are not only risking their jobs but their health too and they still keep speaking out. Secondly, it is great to finally see the true meaning of this day being celebrated: in Russia, women at work are told on this day that they “make the team prettier”, wished to be a loving wife and mother, and if they are lucky, their husbands will do the washing up. Thank you for your values that are clearly seen in the agency’s work??
