Whilst PR isn’t something that I offer as a part of my service, I do recognise that PR can prove to be an important and useful tool for any professional service firm.

PR and marketing are approaches that can work hand in hand. If you are considering PR for your professional service firm and want to know whether or not it will be worthwhile trying, here are some reasons why I believe that PR can prove to be useful.

?? Appeals to talent - They want to work for a firm that is looking to the future, making plans and trying to promote themselves the best they can.

?? It gives you some level of control over your publicity -  It can be hard to control what is said (and seen about you) but it is not impossible.

?? Creates leads - Good PR, with spots in high quality media outlets can boost your name and get you out there and visible to a whole new audience.

The idea of B2B marketing is that you are a business aiming its marketing efforts at other companies. Even though the target audience is somewhat different from the general public, your marketing approaches are always much the same.

You want to ensure that they are aware of and recognise your brand, as well as convert them into viable leads that impact your business.

So, how do you do this with a marketing world constantly changing and growing, with new ideas and trends popping up? You need to stay on top of the latest trends and figure out whether they are something you should try for yourself.

To help you do this, I have put together my top B2B marketing trends for 2023.

?? Combine SEO with functionality - clients want to see the quality of the content they read and authenticity. Of course, you can try to combine effective SEO with a well-designed website, giving you the best of both worlds.

?? Create interactive content that humans write - you want to generate content that a human writes; for a human, that is the type of content that will appeal to your target audience the most.

?? Try out influencers - influencers with a bigger network will give you a bigger reach, and even just one positive shoutout can have a big (and positive) impact on your brand.

Whilst there is always a need for law firms, this doesn’t mean that you don’t have to worry about marketing yourself to secure as many clients as possible. In fact, marketing a law firm is just as important as marketing any other type of business.

One of the main issues with marketing is that if you are not an expert then it can be difficult to know when to start or even where to start.

To help to keep your law firm as fit as a fiddle and to master the art of marketing, here are reasons to hire an interim marketing director.

?? You don’t have time for marketing -  If you don’t have time for marketing, then you are going to see your firm become stagnant and you won’t see the growth that you hope for or need.

?? You’re not seeing the results that you want - The main reason for this is not that you’re not putting the effort in, but that you’re not taking the right approach or doing the right things to market your law firm. This is where an interim marketing director comes in!

? You can’t hire a full marketing team - What you can do instead is to hire an interim marketing director. They do come at a cost, however this cost is minimal compared to having a whole marketing team work for your law firm. Not only this, but they bring with them the right expertise that can make it seem that they have a full team behind them.

In these modern times, we have various marketing options open to us. Some of them are relatively obvious, such as social media and blogging, while others are much less obvious.

One example of this is podcasts. Podcasts are not just something that people listen to for entertainment; they can also be incredibly useful to promote a particular area of expertise or knowledge you may have.

When you are invited to participate in a podcast, you must figure out what to expect. After all, they are not something you will do every day.

This is why I have created my guide to podcast guest appearances and how your accountancy firm partners can prepare for them.

? Is it the right podcast? - Ask yourself, do you enjoy listening to the podcast and in turn, is it something that you think your target audience will likely listen to?

??? What kind of things do you want to talk about? - You don’t want to discuss subjects you don’t know about as this will not paint you in a good light, and the aim is always to appear as an expert.

?? How to approach podcasts to be featured on - This can be tricky to do, especially if you are not comfortable selling your brand. Make sure that you always listen to the podcast before you pitch; that way, you can judge the best tone to take in your emails.
