Finding Success That Feels As Good As It Looks

Hi, I'm Janine Mathó, author of Live Your Opus.

Five years ago, I hit a breaking point. I had spent 25 years building a global career—working at places like Harvard and Pearson, leading from the C-Suite, living across several countries, and raising three children. I loved it all, but I was chronically overworked and often felt like something was missing. In late 2019, on the verge of complete burnout, my world shattered when my mom was killed in a car accident.

Life as I knew it stopped. I was fried. Bereaved. I couldn’t eat, sleep, or get out of bed, so I was forced to pause and confront how I was living and working.?

I learned that success isn’t just about what you achieve—it’s about who you become along the way. And that it is possible to achieve more than you can imagine when you free yourself from whatever holds you back.

I’m lucky: I’ve been given a second life since burnout. I’m healthy, thriving personally and professionally, and I have more strength than ever to pursue my wild, crazy dreams—and I’m living them! But the path here was anything but easy; in fact, it was downright painful.

Today, I help ambitious people like you find success that feels as good as it looks. I want to help you to get ‘there’ faster, with fewer battle scars and low points.

What is Live Your Opus?

As leaders and entrepreneurs, we’re constantly pushing forward—driven to achieve more, create impact, and leave a mark. But success, real success, is more than hitting targets. It’s about crafting a life and career that align with who you are and what you truly want. Live Your Opus is a method and mindset that empowers you to achieve meaningful, sustainable success and fulfillment.

To do this, you’ve got to train on every level–physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Doing so is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Research shows that leaders who train on every level are happier and more high-performing than those who don’t.?

Musicians call their most significant works their Opus. I believe your life is your greatest Opus, and I’m here to show you how to drive it. Through weekly insights, practical tools, and real-life stories, I’ll help you raise the bar on your dreams, work, and life so you can achieve more meaningful, sustainable outcomes.
