WELCOME TO LIKAK ACADEMY !

A few years after LIKAK was founded, we quickly realized the importance of training and, above all, of knowledge in our field of activity. We therefore decided to launch LIKAK ACADEMY.

LIKAK ACADEMY is one of our departments specializing in trainings and organization of scientific seminars with capacity building components.

Since end of 2021, we had the privilege to host and organize the following seminars and trainings:

1. PHISICC end-of-trial meeting in Abuja, Nigeria. This trial conducted in three (3) African countries (C?te d’Ivoire, Mozambique and Nigeria) is the most robust trial ever conducted in the field of data collection in our public health systems. It was an honor learning and exchanging with both the leaders of this implementation coming from all implementing countries and the different international sponsors and partners.?

2. LIKAK CRA meeting in Dakar, Senegal. On a yearly basis, as much as international travels and funds allow, we commit to gather as a company staff. Likak currently has staff located in several countries of sub-Saharan Africa. It is a challenge as well as a great opportunity to come together for refresher trainings, harmonization of procedures; exchange of experiences and to strengthen our working relationships.

This internal CRA training is one of our greatest achievement. We are able to value the impact of team bonding on the enhancement of all company departments’ productivity. It is always a pleasure to sharpen our passion for the health of our population, and our dream for Clinical research on the continent. This si something we would like to do as often as needed/possible.?

3. M&L Training in Accra, Ghana. A Good clinical research training tailored to research centers staff to further equip clinical trial leaders on the continent. It was a privilege conducting this project with our partner sister company @MMARCRO. We are both very proud to have started to build a momentum.

4. MOSA Investigators’ meeting in Dakar, Senegal. Within a very short period of time (less than a month), this meeting was organized and successfully hosted more than 40 participants from all over Africa and Geneva. It was an organization challenge, but a thrilling achievement, particularly because the essence of this project and client (PANTHER) is to prove that in situations of crisis and/or emergency, it is possible for the African continent to set up efficient programs and carry out successful implementations.?

5. CLINICAL INVESTIGATOR TRAINING in Lambaréné, Gabon. Another great opportunity we had to train clinical research staff in their own clinical research site. Most of the research staff could attend, and it was emulating sharing experience between junior and senior staff. We have no doubt that this gathering had a significant impact on the quality of services rendered by each staff individually, but also globally as a more experienced Clinical research center.?

With the increasing demand for training on clinical research, we decided to formalize what we have been doing the past years into a standardized curriculum. You can expect very soon our proposed ranges of trainings for CRAs, research site professionals, clinical trial coordinators, etc.?

We are looking forward to receiving you in our courses either as a trainer or as a trainee.?
