Welcome to "Let's Connect" Newsletter

Hello and a big welcome!

I am so excited to have you here reading the first edition of Let’s connect.

This has always been something that I wanted to do, to share my lived experience, sharing how I have navigated through trauma and life challenges using strategies that just about anyone can use.

This newsletter will have a big focus on being trauma informed in the workplace, how to respond to disclosures by an adult or child effectively and confidently, how to approach someone that has gone through trauma or a big challenge and setting the conditions to allow people to share their concerns or trauma.

Being sexually abused as a child has certainly had its impact on me and family throughout my life, however I have been able to combat this and being able to thieve. I am committed and passionate about sharing this with the community and organisations. I am able to see through a different lens to plan, prepare and approach trauma or big challenges within the workplace.

I know deeply what organisations and workplaces need to ensure everyone can feel connected, a sense of belonging and valued.

I have a greater purpose to ensure that workplaces feel safe for people to be able to disclose their concerns or trauma and that the person listening will know how to respond appropriately, because I know the way that someone responds can start the healing process or may prolong it.

It is our duty to ensure we are educated on how to respond to disclosures, you will never know when someone might disclose to you or you might find yourself wanting to disclose.

You cannot put a price on the feeling of safety.

Come join me on a pathway to healing for everyone.

Here’s to more connection,

John Cardamone
