?? Artificial Intelligence: A Double-Edged Sword
The use of artificial intelligence is significantly transforming cybersecurity, both in terms of defense and attack. On the one hand, AI has greatly enhanced our ability to detect and respond to threats, enabling faster and more efficient defense mechanisms. On the other hand, cybercriminals are also leveraging AI to create more sophisticated and harder-to-detect attacks.
One of the biggest challenges we face today is balancing the use of AI in cyber defense while preventing its exploitation by attackers for malicious purposes. The line between good and bad is becoming increasingly blurred, making it more important than ever to stay informed and prepared.
?? Deepfakes: A Real Threat?
They also touched on the topic of deepfakes, a technology enabled by AI that allows the creation of incredibly realistic but entirely fabricated content. This poses significant risks to public trust, politics, and personal security. It’s crucial that we stay vigilant and educated on how to identify and protect ourselves from these digital deceptions.
?? Awareness and Education: A Shared Responsibility
Our co-hosts and María Aperador agreed on the importance of raising awareness. Everyone, as technology users, must stay informed and prepared to recognize threats and protect our personal data and privacy in the digital world. Cybersecurity is not just the responsibility of experts, it’s a challenge that involves all of us.
