Welcome to June….

Starting a business is easy. Establishing a successful business is hard and scaling up is crazy difficult. Particularly in this kind of financial climate where money is expensive, investors are cautious and banks are super risk averse.??

It’s good news then that the Government is helping banks lend to business with a new government backed loan scheme called The Business Growth Guarantee Scheme https://www.british-business-bank.co.uk/finance-options/debt-finance/growth-guarantee-scheme

I for one shall be applying for funding under the scheme once it launches in July as SiGNAL have exciting expansion plans that, like all good plans, require cash! I’ll let you know how I get on with that and other funding avenues throughout the month.?

Next time you read this we will be on the eve of a national election. Let's hope that whatever happens the next cabinet will be focused on providing a helpful boost for business. More thoughts on this throughout the rest of this month. Watch this space!

The Bluebell is the sweetest flower …?

Over the past few weeks Gareth and Claire have been on the hunt for bluebells and they were not disappointed!? All the bluebells they carefully planted last year are now blooming and make for a really pretty display.??

In other news, Claire’s cat has been moulting and she has been saving this excess fur for birds to use to line their nests.? She’s been leaving it near the bird feeders that are dotted around the grounds.? We’re sure our birds will have the cosiest, comfiest nests in Hampshire!
