Keir Starmer will almost certainly be Prime Minister by Friday this week, elected with a mandate to forge ‘an enduring partnership with business to deliver the economic growth we need’??

His manifesto proclaims ‘a final and total rejection of the toxic idea that economic growth is gifted from the few to the many’ ?

Significant economic growth is central to Labour’s plans for the future and as small business owners we are called to play our part in delivering this from the bottom up??

An incorrigible optimist, I believe that the arrival of a new administration with a strong mandate for economic growth and a will to partner with all business can only have a positive impact on us all.???

Let’s harness the energy that comes with change and use it to drive our businesses forward to create all the good we want to see in the world.??

Growth plans at SiGNAL??

Having been focused exclusively on Whitehill and Bordon for the last 6 years it is time for the SiGNAL team to branch out and see if we can deliver a bit of the SiGNAL magic in other towns, while keeping operations exactly the same here in our home town.??

Our mission is to be the beating heart of every town in the UK,? so that no small business owner should ever feel alone?

We will be starting in Aldershot and Farnborough as we have some really exciting office opportunities opening up there!??

We'll be gathering at The Tap@ The Shed which we love for its independent, sociable and relaxed vibe. We want you to get there early so we’ll be shouting a free drink for all members that order before 6pm.??

This month we are delighted to be welcoming Hannah Logan of Virtual Perfection to the SiGNAL community. Hannah is a Virtual Assistant, with a wealth of knowledge in sales, marketing, content writing and business administration.

Loving the Ladybirds! ?

For teams to thrive, work needs to mean something. One of the ways we create a culture of purpose at SiGNAL is to encourage the team to take time out to work on our biodiversity project. It gives everyone a reason to get outside and to learn new skills which can give a much needed break from screens and phones!?

Claire and Gareth have been busy encouraging ladybirds to join the SiGNAL community this summer. They have cleared a patch of brambles from round the back of Martinique House and planted some bulbs there.? The hope is that ladybirds will be attracted to this area as they are an important part of our gardens’ food chain and the more ladybirds in our gardens, the easier it is to manage pest issues.? It seems that their efforts have already been appreciated as Claire counted five ladybirds in the area immediately after they’d finished their gardening session!

The team have also been hard at work elsewhere in the grounds around SiGNAL.? They have been down by the bungalows moving some sycamore trees and planting lots of bulbs, and then barking the area.? They’ve also been planting bulbs round the trees in front of Martinique House and we look forward to seeing them blooming over the summer.??

A great place to combine work and play, our Shed offices are modern and compact yet also completely dog and family friendly. You’ll never feel alone at SiGANL as our? tenants are all connected via our online networking app as well as brought together with regular socials, networking and business training.
