Welcome Joe Wicks to the Gousto family!

Gousto is probably the fastest growing food-tech company in Europe. 2018 was an exciting year for us: we welcomed thousands of new customers, helped save tonnes of food waste and significantly developed our use of AI to offer our customers the best possible experience. Thanks to our customers and the hard work of everyone at Gousto, we’re well on our way to achieving our mission of serving up 400 million balanced and nutritious meals by 2025. This means we reduce food waste in the UK, we tackle the overuse of plastic, and we create tons of jobs here in times of uncertainty.

This week, we announced Gousto raised ￡18m on its mission to become the best way for families to eat dinner. With Joe as a friend and investor, we want to make healthy eating a reality for families to enjoy nutritious, home cooked meals.

Joe first got in touch with us following an interview with Monocle in June 2018. He realised that Gousto is on the same mission as he is - to improve the health of the nation by encouraging and enabling more UK families to cook from scratch. Joe, his brother, and their friends became Gousto customers, sharing pictures of their meals on WhatsApp every week. He and I clicked immediately, both being new dads and learning first-hand how difficult it is to cook for your family when you live a busy life.  

Over the course of the last few months, Joe has spent time in our kitchen, wizzing up amazing meals together with Gousto's team of chefs and nutritionists. These dishes range from simple ten-minute meals and family favourites, to plant-based options and premium recipes. Every week, you can enjoy 4 Joe Wicks meals on our menu now. Expect to see recipes in the Joe Wicks range from Chicken Satay Lettuce Wraps (shown below) to Ten-Minute Nifty Veggie Noodles on the menu every week until April.
