Welcome to Medical Professional Startup Week, celebrating the intrepid, fearless, and often clueless medical professionals who are trying to get their ideas to patients and other sick care stakeholders.

Startup weeks happen across the US, but few focus on biomedical and clinical innovation and entrepreneurship, so I decided that it's time to recognized them.

Here are some ways to show your support:

1. Bang pots outside your windows
2. Write something in the comments sections of this article
3. Fund a friend
4. Highlight a brilliant case study
5. Share lessons learned from the biggest sick care startup failure
6. Volunteer to participate in the very small number of innovation and entrepreneurship courses in medical schools
7. Become a mindset mentor
8. Help someone overcome the barriers to international physician entrepreneurship
9. May Day is also international workers day. It's no coincidence I chose this week to celebrate at the same time. Walk the picket line at your local hospital to support striking residents and doctors since many of them will probably windup in startup land as their escape plan and they need your support
10. Organize a Walmart schadenfreude party to celebrate their primary care clinics and telemedicine shutdown
