Welcome to Informatech, Hayley!

Hayley is our newest recruit and is highly skilled in ICT recruitment, with a particular interest in forming long-term partnerships for both clients and candidates. We are absolutely thrilled to have her on board and took the opportunity to get to know her a bit better.

Tell me a bit about yourself.

Born and raised in Canberra, I grew to really love it and its surroundings. I love the occasional coast or snow trip like most Canberrans.

I came into ICT recruitment in 2020, first specialising in ICT Support, Operations & Infrastructure Services for both Federal Government and Private Sector organisations. I then further grew my knowledge and capabilities across the technology market, particularly within Project Delivery and Coordination. I established skills in relationship management, candidate generation, performance management, business development and service delivery. I later decided to take up an ICT Account Manager role for a new challenge and to put my skills to work on a larger scale for all Technology disciplines within specific Federal Government Departments in Canberra. Throughout my career, I’ve built a solid understanding and passion for ICT and created long-lasting and meaningful relationships with both my candidates and clients.

I’ve recently joined Informatech to specialise in Testing & Evaluation Services alongside Melissa Tyszyk as a Business Development Manager. With a well-known presence in the Testing market, we will be working together to ensure a high service is delivered to all of our customers and working closely with each individual to give a tailored service to them.

What are you most excited about with your new role at Informatech?

Informatech is a rapidly growing business with expert knowledge of technology and the recruitment market. I’m thrilled to be able to access this knowledge and further grow and develop my own knowledge and skills. Coming from a business that was made up of mostly Labour Hire engagements, I’m looking forward to building my expertise in Managed Services and Staff Augmentation contracts and continuing to deliver a wide range of high-quality solutions for my customers.

What does a successful task look like to you?

I’m highly motivated by helping people do what they want to do and get to where they want to be. Success to me is having repeated and referred business come from a happy customer. I enjoy making lasting relationships and helping my candidates and their network throughout their careers.

Your speciality is in candidate management and recruitment. How do you approach certain situations to ensure long-term partnerships are formed?

I have thorough conversations to understand my candidates on both personal and professional levels and acknowledge what is important to them. I work closely with my candidates on finding and securing opportunities and keep them updated throughout the process. I often provide additional support throughout the interview process with coaching tips and feedback for my candidates. To me a positive relationship doesn’t end once you’ve secured the role for the candidate, hence I offer ongoing support and check-ins throughout the duration of employment and am an available resource to them when they need it. My biggest care factor is my candidates and their enjoyment/well-being.

What qualities do you think have helped you find success in recruitment?

I’ve found that being a knowledgeable and insightful professional with a problem-solving attitude and going the extra mile for my customers is what customers truly value and what leads to success. In addition, being a responsive, efficient, caring, and respectful individual has earned me repeated business and ongoing relationships.

What do you enjoy about your work in recruitment?

I recognise the value of building long-term relationships with both my clients and candidates and knowing that the work I do is making a difference to them and their teams. The aspect of being able to tailor my service to each individual and work together to achieve a common goal is extremely appealing to me. It’s truly heartening seeing someone get to where they wanted to be, knowing that you’ve helped them get there.

It’s been a very warm and welcoming start and I’m excited about a long-term career with Informatech.
