It’s expected to be a record-setting year at the 2024 Global Pet Expo, as organizers say they anticipate welcoming over 1,000 brands, manufacturers, and suppliers to the leading pet industry event. Organized by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA), the show takes place March 20-22 in Orlando, FL.

The article takes a look at the expanding field of end-of-life services for pets, highlighting the work Berkeley, Calif.-based PetHospice is doing in the space. Acquired by Mars’ BluePearl veterinary chain, the brand is now operating as BluePearl Pet Hospice, and specializes in offering in-home euthanasia, comfort care, and in-home and virtual quality-of-life consultations via a team of hospice doctors, vet technicians, care coordinators and bereavement counselors.
