Welcome to Give to Grow Newsletter

If you dedicate your life to giving and gratitude, then every Tuesday becomes a Giving Tuesday for you. This newsletter will be sent on Tuesday mornings, sharing stories of impact and how to integrate giving into the daily life of a fast-growing organization.

My goal is to integrate the “Earn to Give” philosophy of scaling a business to maximize giving while managing a highly profitable and rapidly growing organization. How do we maximize enterprise value for all stakeholders while achieving scalable and long-term sustainable impact goals.

Our company is approaching a very significant milestone - $1M in lifetime donations to InfoTrust Foundation. This does not include all expenses from our global impact projects that we could not run through a US 501(c)3.

For every dollar that goes into a non-profit, there is $100-1000 that goes into funding for-profit ideas. How do we bridge this gap? How do we find a way to generate returns that would satisfy Smart money, and accomplish the Impact goals, but not cause lost energy and focus due to optimizing towards two misaligned competing objectives? If Smart money investor has to optimize the return as a fiduciary responsibility to their investors, and if impact investors are stuck achieving sub-optimal outcomes, then there is a gap. It's not an easy gap to bridge because impact dollars have to come from somewhere...

I don't have all the answers...yet. However, there is a beautiful quote

“Once you have learned to ask questions – relevant and appropriate and substantial questions – you have learned how to learn and no one can keep you from learning whatever you want or need to know.”

Let's learn together.

To kick things off, I'd like to share my most favorite article yet

Duality of giving and how to turn our success into someone else's miracle.

Hey Alex, you are a born leader, and I understand your fear. Knowing you, I also know it won't slow you down. Fear is normal. That is what drives us at the most primitive level. Keep on rocking; applaud you for being fearless even when faced with fear
