Welcome to the Era of the Personal Brand

?? Our world has been through many different eras. ??

Most historians would classify these eras as the following:

• Prehistory
• Classical
• Middle Ages
• Early Modern
• Modern

Each era had its own fascinating story to share and how it shaped the world for eras that were to come.

The era we are in currently is the Modern era. This era has seen major events such as the following:

• The Industrial Revolution
• The Victorian Era
• World War I & II
• The Information Age

From this era, we are currently in The Information Age. During this time, we as humans are starting to take advantage of technological advances that help shape our social, economic, and personal lives.

Think about for a second if you were living in the times of the 1960s and 1970s. What actions were you going to take to become successful? After all, there was no social media, world wide web, or other enhanced technologies that we have today.

Usually the method for success back then went like this....

1. Graduate High School
2. Go to college, into the military, or into a trade (for most, it was college)
3. Graduate college with your degree
4. Going to work for a company
5. Working 40-50+ years with that company
6. Retiring at 65 with a pension

For some of you, that was how you were born and raised. You were taught that this one specific way was going to get you to the path of success in life. With this method, you would be getting a nice house, a nice car, family vacations, etc.

However, as the years passed, this method has turned into something like this...

• Benefits being slowly taken away from the employee
• Employees "backstabbing" other employees
• Your boss giving you a rough time and asking too much of you
• Salary increases that do NOT exceed the rate of inflation
• Employees being viewed as a liability rather than an asset
• Having to sacrifice family time for company time
• Having to lie to get ahead on the corporate ladder
• and much more....

This method ultimately lead to more stress being piled onto people's households, which in turn, negatively impacted the family.

I certainly can attest to these feelings as someone who used to work in the corporate world and would just come home every night frustrated. Frustrated because I wasn't feeling valued and also being used in the process.

But then this event happened in 2020. You probably know what it is already.

COVID

During 2020, employers had NO choice but to make their employees work from home. The world was undergoing uncertain circumstances and was wondering what would happen next.

There were 2 things that happened.

1. Unfortunately, a lot of people died from this horrific virus
2. People realized that life is too short to be miserable and they want more control over their lives.

People were starting to protest in good nature and for a good cause. COVID made us, including myself, realize that we do NOT want to be taken advantage of ever again by the corporations.

Hence, a new era in our world's history was born.

An era that NO historian has ever talked about yet, but I am willing to share with you.

That era is......

The era of the Personal Brand!

In this new era, the people are standing up and taking their lives back and controlling their fate.

• With different technologies and social media outlets to get your word across, this is a great chance to showcase your talents and treasures NOT just in the country you live in, but other people from around the world.

• You get paid the value that you should be paid at. The corporate world doesn't give that to you. You have the ability to make more money selling through your personal brand than you ever did working for a previous corporation

You control your lifestyle

• You get to determine where you want to live, who you want to work with, and how you determine your daily schedule.

No longer have to deal with the "BS" of corporate life

• No strict rules, no more politics, no more drama, no more worrying about if your job is safe, no longer having to drive in traffic everyday. Isn't that wonderful?

This era is the best era yet in our world's history!
